So many questions here. Why is an ad for a supplement focused on 'seeing food as nutrition' and therefore eradicating a need for the product? Is it an artistic choice to have everything slightly out of focus? Can Tim Lovejoy really do a headstand? Whatever the answers, it feels like a long way from Soccer AM.

This ad for Adidas' Y-3 collection feels like a trailer for a movie which doesn't exist about a dystopian future. Designed by influential Japanese fashion designer Yohji Yamamoto (hence the Y), the collection enhances the cryptic, quasi-facist imagery of the film, centred around a mysterious figure fleeing from the establishment. Strange, intriguing stuff.

Is it safe to call Edie Campbell an opium addict? YSL Black Opium, that is. Dodgy moniker aside, there’s a new ‘Floral Shock’ edition on the shelves. Campbell continues her exploration of Shanghai’s nightlife, flitting between a dark persona and a slightly more colourful one. Her moody presence is leavened by some eye-catching lighting and visual flourishes.

Ant & Dec hijack another Suzuki Ignis test drive. They claim to be a fount of knowledge for this unsuspecting driver… if he can get a word in edgeways. The “intelligent driving assistant” eventually advises him to wear a coat outside. Most helpful - just don’t rely on the duo’s Saturday Night Takeaway board game for accurate information.

This rather odd ad from Nestle features a series of women explaining what their mothers passed onto them - self confidence, creativity, a sense of adventure - and then awkwardly segues into "That's why I give my family Nestle Pure Life!"... bottled water which reportedly comes from drought-stricken regions. It's clearly designed to be a universal message which works across multiple markets, but it doesn't quite hit the mark.

Hungry House’s takeaway aficionados discuss what makes the perfect burger. Everyone has their preferred toppings: halloumi cheese, avocado, egg, bacon… or just stack as many beef burgers as the laws of physics allow, as one bloke suggests. The ad reflects changing tastes as upmarket burger chains offer more choice than ever before.

A group of lads find themselves in dire need of some sausage in the latest ad for Peperami. One creative chap amplifies his grumbling stomach - which doesn't exactly please the neighbours - until Animal comes kicking down their door to deliver meat snacks. We can't help missing the more anarchic version of the character, he feels a bit tame here.

At Lidl, you can get enough food to make fish and chips for four people - including the sauce and mushy peas, of course - for less than the price of four branded fish filets from Asda. This no frills ad gets the point across directly: Lidl is cheap as, well, chips.

Plenty of us have wished we could wind back the clock on a job interview. Well, Barclays do just that in this well-shot ad. The bank continues to support young jobseekers with practical advice, such as how to nail the final interview. This lad’s reverse walk is neatly done and it helps give the message some dynamism.

Expedia help satisfy another case of wanderlust in this documentary-inspired campaign. Keen photographer David wants to add some priceless snaps to the album. With the help of the advertised website, he and his friends are able to capture the Northern Lights. A gentle nudge in the right direction for would-be travellers.

Geordie Gary went from being a 'proper normal lad' to President of the United States by borrowing some money from his dad to set up a hotel and... you know where this is going. This is an excellent spoof, hitting all the marks of a good Trump send-up including the graphics of 'Gary Tower', his too-beautiful wife, and the inflammatory tweets which swell his social media following ('cats are crap'... Gary, you monster).

This ad for the International Woolmark Prize features director Issac Lock trying to create a 'three-hour live art immersive experience' celebrating merino wool, the overlooked 'foundation of our civilisation'. The event is beset with problems - budget cuts being less of an issue than nobody understanding the creative vision of the project. It's all a mockumentary, of course, and hugely entertaining to watch the 'creative process' in action.

Director Justin Hackney puts his subjects at ease and lets their personalities shine through.

At a time of year when many of us are focused on our appearance, Reebok are bringing back their 'Be More Human' campaign, which carries the message that being physical unlocks the best version of yourself. A series of cinematic ads get the point across, with 'Hands' focusing on the physical changes which accompany the mental.

This extended version of the new Sainsbury's 'Food Dancing' campaign features some interesting additions, including dance instructions and a colourful 80's rap video-style segment. Despite the campaign causing health and safety concerns in some quarters (dancing with sharp knives or flinging around tea-towels near open flames... maybe they have a point), this extended version is an effective promo for MysDiggi's specially-created song.

They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. In that case, Under Armour should be very flattered by this Chinese Adidas commercial. The ad riffs on Under Armour’s sublime ‘Rule Yourself’ ad from 2015. Yet there's more to it than that; it also challenges notions about Chinese conformity.

That's the pressing issue in this ad for Mini, showcasing five different models aimed at young, outdoorsy people who embrace adventure like the rest of us would embrace a hot water bottle on a cold night. If you like rock climbing, surfing, ping pong (yes), and being uber-fashionable while you do it all, this is the car for you.

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Wildlands

Despite shuffling off this mortal coil in 2013, Tom Clancy’s name still adorns Ubisoft’s range of tactical shooters. The latest is ‘Ghost Recon: Wildlands’, and this live-action ad directed by John McTiernan sets the scene with some feline help. While three hardmen play cards, a cat notices a red dot dancing around the room - which doesn't bode well for these three gents.

This energetic spot from Subaru taps into the trend for rapid-fire editing popular in car ads at the moment. A tight 30" is just the right amount of time to show off the vehicle and create a sense of adventure, presenting 'the few who dare to keep moving' (teachers, inventors, scholars, artists) while the voiceover tells us to 'never sit still'.

This ad for Holland's largest shopping centre - Hoog Catharijne - is about as stylish as it gets: it's also a huge amount of fun. Against a bouncy soundtrack and colourful pastel backgrounds, actors jump, dance, and play while showing off some of the products available in the centre's 160+ stores. There are also some lovely bits of quirky stop motion work added in for good measure.

Audiophiles will appreciate these well-shot films for MQA. A woman hitting the treadmill and a man enjoying some light reading are joined by hip hop artist Michael Ellison and and cellist Edgar Moreau respectively. Skilful transitions and lighting convey how music fans can enjoy immersive sound with the advertised audio format.

This funny ad for the North London Waste Authority features a hapless young man explaining how he can't buy decent trainers since the Netherlands ran out of plastic. Instead he has to wear wooden clogs... which get him soundly rebuffed by a potential date at the bar. If only people had recycled more - then at least he could get knocked back with cool shoes on.
