Fabulous Bingo
"Strike a Pose"
30s
14 February 2017
UK Bingo Halls / Online Bingo

These Fabulous Bingo players are posers in the best possible way. Each of them demonstrate their unique victory stances, whether it's in a supermarket queue or while ordering a late night kebab. Meanwhile, a piece of vintage Motown from The Velvelettes keeps the mood upbeat. This should speak to those who can't resist a good gloat.

MailChimp
"VeilHymn"
4 mins 35s
22 Feb 2017
MailChimp breaks into the music biz with an ambitious online promo from Veil Hymn. The ‘band’ actually comprises Blood Orange a.k.a. Devonte Hynes and Bryndon Cook, and their laidback jam is designed to ultimately redirect curious music fans to the email marketing company. Eagle-eyed viewers will also spot ‘MaleCrimp’ on a barber’s price list.

Centraal Beheer
"Hulk Hogan"
80s
22 Feb 2017
Veteran grappler Hulk Hogan stars in this amusing Centraal Beheer commercial. The wrestling legend runs wild on this mugger, even landing his trademark leg drop. Despite thrilling the crowd, Hogan's playacting does little to help the situation. Rather than rely on an aging pro wrestler when trouble arises, you're better calling the advertised insurer.

Domino's Pizza
"It's No Secret"
30s
22 Feb 2017
Domino's assure us that all their pizzas are handmade in this amusing ad. Various vignettes suggest what a pizza factory might look like, featuring industrial dough-squishers, tomato sauce paint rollers, and a toppings cannon which we'd quite like to have a go on. All this before revealing that the secret to their handmade pizzas is - drumroll - hands.

ASN Bank
"Creature of Habit"
35s
21 Feb 2017
This animated ad for Dutch bank ASN features a cute pooch playing the 'creature of habit' who's been doing business with the same bank (or in this case, money badger) for years without noticing the shady practices threatening the environment. Luckily, ASN Bank are environmentally sustainable and easy enough to switch to that even a puppy can do it.

We Fight Any Claim
"John Cleese"
30s
20 Feb 2017
John Cleese pays for his second hip replacement with this ad for PPI chasers We Fight Any Claim. Cleese's shifty suit insists he's no villain while wearing a stocking over his head. Fans of Monty Python’s Flying Circus will appreciate the nod to Cleese’s bungling bank robber. Unfortunately, the company name suggests they’ll fight your claim rather than fight it for you.

Bakers
"Delivery Dogs"
30s
22 Feb 2017
This ad for Bakers has a procession of pooches driving what look like retro golf carts to deliver the latest innovation in dog food - no artificial ingredients. There are some nice slow-motion shots of eager pups leaping over obstacles as they clamour for a taste of Bakers' meaty chunks, and it's all appropriately upbeat.

British Airways
"New York Knicks"
56s
21 Feb 2017
A father and son describe their journey to watch the New York Knicks play at Madison Square Garden. It’s a dream come true for the basketball-daft son; what’s more, it’s helped bring these two closer together. Thanks to British Airways, they now have a painting to mark the trip. A thoughtful way of encouraging us to share our travel memories.

Amazon Echo
"Alexa?"
30s
20 Feb 2017
Here's another oddly constructed ad for the Amazon Echo Dot. We're shown three 10" vignettes involving a crying baby, a kebab, and a bulging suitcase respectively. Whatever the query, however, Alexa is ready to chime in with a suggestion. The end result feels rather disjointed, though at least we're in no doubt about the price.

McDonald's
"Appetite Needs Opportunity"
90s
21 Feb 2017
This punchy recruitment film for McDonald’s appeals for hungry applicants. The fast food chain encourages its employees - regardless of background - to excel both on and off the job. Sofi Tukker’s ‘Drinkee’ provides the infectious soundtrack, while Goodoil’s Justin McMillan ensures Macca’s come across as a rewarding career option.

Smirnoff
"DJ Jewell"
1 min 36s
20 Feb 2017
This instalment of Smirnoff's 'We're Open' campaign features Jeffrey Jewell - an African DJ with albinism who wants to prove that music has no colour. It's a striking film, with a mix of lo-fi and high-def footage to create a timeless feeling, accompanied by a bouncing soundtrack and DJ Jewell's self assured VO. Despite the danger faced by albino people in some parts of the continent, he's determined to get Africa dancing together.

Admiral Insurance
"Doll"
30s
20 Feb 2017
Admiral's bearded buffoon Tom is back - though this time he's less slapstick and more 'slap on a restraining order'. While his suggestion of including a free Admiral doll with every new policy is clearly a play on the comparethemarket.coms of the industry, the crudely-assembled doll (which he provides with its own squeaky voice) comes across as more creepy than cute.

Garnier Olia
"Testimonial"
60s
21 Feb 2017
Garnier ditch the energy of their previous Olia ads and instead opt for a straightforward testimonial approach. In a manner echoing L'Oreal's foundation ads featuring Cheryl Cole, celebrity spokesperson Fearne Cotton is included in the testimonials without pulling focus from the 'normal women' gushing about what a difference oil-based hair dye has made to their appearance.

Arla
"The Deal"
40s
21 Feb 2017
Anyone who’s tried to organise a summer barbecue will know you can’t reason with Mother Nature. Dairy farmer Bill, on the other hand, has come to an arrangement with the big boss: as long as Mother Nature keeps the rain coming, Bill will only make pure, organic milk. We’d love to see the minutes from that meeting.

Dettol
"Chicken"
20s
20 Feb 2017
Dettol continue to heighten parental paranoia across the nation with an ad suggesting that using a mere dishcloth to wipe surfaces is akin to scrubbing them with raw chicken. They run a slimy chicken leg over a baby's high chair too, just in case the nauseating sound effects didn't make their point about plutonium germ payloads the first time around.

Leo Vegas
"Double Vegas"
90s
21 Feb 2017
It turns out that Leo Vegas is such a vast online casino it needs not one but two brand ambassadors. We're already familiar with the suave yet faintly menacing lion... and now another familiar visage joins him. It's the perfectly-named Johnny Vegas - and boy, what a bonus he proves to be. Having "bigged it up" in the audition, he finds himself slightly out of his depth - and we can't look away.

Amazon Echo
"News"
30s
20 Feb 2017
Amazon have made the strange choice to join what seem to be disparate 10" commercials together in batches of three for broadcast, each ending with a shot of the Echo and associated hashtag. While this demonstrates the technology's range (and we're sure certain presidents could make good use of the news app), it feels like three separate ads rather than a cohesive whole.

Pizza Hut
"Film Awards"
30s
20 Feb 2017
Pizza Hut capitalise on the Oscars build-up with an Academy Awards-adjacent ad. Never mind a lifetime achievement award - the real big deal here is the pizza chain's any size, any recipe click-and-collect deal for under six quid a pop. The guitar-driven soundtrack makes the whole thing sound a lot more exciting than ordering pizza is likely to be, especially in contrast with the glam awards shots.

Levi's
"Sea of Blue"
60s
17 Feb 2017
At a party where everyone is absorbed in a smartphone rather than talking to people IRL, one couple mock the non-action around them by miming a call to each other. Naturally they're wearing Levi's to show they're old-school and not afraid of ruining their mobile tech by jumping in a pool. It might not be up there with the brand's strongest ads, but it's a shrewd way of suggesting individuality for the youth market.

Samsung
"Quality Assurance"
60s
19 Feb 2017
Following the, uh, toasty experience of many at the hands of the Galaxy Note 7 last year, the results for 'Samsung quality control' on any given search engine are unsurprisingly bleak. This film sees the tech giant go on both the offensive and defensive simultaneously - making strong statements about the rigorousness with which their smartphones are now tested.

Circulon
"Non-Stick"
30s
17 Feb 2017
This ad sees cookware brand Circulon demonstrate their non-stick collection with the help of juicy steaks and loaves of bread. Good styling plus director Marc Ingham’s culinary eye ensure the food looks as appetising as possible. Odd choice of background music, but it’s a solid product demonstration.

Energy Australia
"Light The Way"
60s
20 Feb 2017
This beautifully-shot ad for Energy Australia emphasises the company's commitment to sustainable energy. Over a montage of human invention - from the first animations to bionic limbs and green energy - a voiceover explains that since all the technology around us has come out of someone's head, partnering with leading thinkers is the way to develop the energy of the future.

Oak Furnitureland
"Perfect Room"
20s
16 Feb 2017
Forty-six is the magic number in this Oak Furnitureland ad - as £46 per month is all it takes to fill our bedrooms and living rooms with real hardwood wares. It’s all part of the retailer’s February Super Sale. If you weren’t impressed by their ‘Biggest Ever Winter Sale', this latest promotion might be more to your liking.

EDEKA
"EATKARU / Icarus"
2 mins 35s
17 Feb 2017
German supermarket EDEKA caught the imagination in 2015 with their darkly touching Christmas ad about lonely relatives. Now they’re tackling another, erm, weighty subject: obesity. A boy despairs as his family gorges on an unidentified substance that makes gruel look appetising. When he spots a bird flying away, he's inspired to expand his palate.

Vanish
"Field"
30s
17 Feb 2017
An army of Vanish users assembles in a field to test the brand's effectiveness against those three pesky stain types - after spending so long uploading videos to the Vanish Tip Exchange, some fresh air is no doubt long overdue. Raising their clean rags like battle flags and spurred on by the portentous VO, our guess is they're preparing for war against a rival stain remover.

McDonald's McCafé
"Madness"
60s
20 Feb 2017
When did a cup of joe become so complicated? The sheer variety of sizes, roasts, and finishes available is enough to leave anyone’s head spinning. So this entertaining McDonald’s McCafé ad offers salvation for all those who - in the face of overwhelming choice - have ever uttered the phrase: “I just want a coffee”.
