Time To Change
"End The Stigma"
40s
21 Jan 2009
A dignified and powerful film for a mental health charity neatly reminds us how unsympathetic the world can behave towards those suffering from depression and similar afflictions. An excellent exercise in awareness-raising.

Monarch
"Airport Children"
30s
21 Jan 2013
This charming commercial for Monarch suggests that using the airline is a way of reminding yourself how thrilling travel can be. To represent this idea, children make their way through an airport, staring at everything with a mixture of glee and awe before being transformed into their adult selves.

Adidas
"There Will Be Haters"
65s
21 Jan 2015
Even his fiercest detractors have to admit that Luis Suárez is one hell of a footballer. The bitey Uruguayan's seesawing contrition has done little to rehabilitate his image, but ultimately the fans at Barcelona don't care whether he's sorry for trying to sample Giorgio Chiellini's flesh during last year's World Cup - they only care whether he's putting the ball into the net on a regular basis.

Nissan Leaf
"Electric Tale"
2 mins 20s
21 Jan 2016
Mustard's Jean-Paul Frenay directs this whimsical piece about a Nissan Leaf embarking on a drive of fantasy without leaving the garage. Unlike Herbie the Love Bug or - at the other end of the scale - Stephen King's homicidal Christine, this car is content to use the power of the imagination to get around. With the southern tip of Spain as the destination, the Leaf sparks its trip into life in creative fashion.

The Voice
"I Want You"
70s
21 Jan 2016
The latest series of The Voice has begun and, despite the new line-up, the ratings are already disappointing... it can't be easy for the BBC to get behind the programme knowing that it passes to ITV after this series. It might also help if the programme itself were as much fun as this light-hearted, self-knowing, camp trail. No Tom Jones this year but Will.I.Am is back alongside Ricky Wilson and they're joined by newcomers Paloma Faith and Boy George.

Blue Dragon
"Mother-in-law"
30s
21 Jan 2005
Beautiful animated ad with art direction resembling the Japanese Anime style tells the story of a woman who wins her mother-in-law's heart by cooking a fine meal made using Blue Dragon's offerings.

The Independent
"American Pop-up Book"
30s
21 Jan 2005
Another in Walsh Trott Chick Smith's excellent ongoing campaign for The Independent shows typical American scenes as pages in a pop-up book to advertise a US travel guide.

Rimmel
"Sexy Lashes"
20s
21 Jan 2006
Rimmel have stuck with Kate Moss and in this, the first ad for the brand since pictures of the supermodel snorting cocaine appeared in a tabloid newspaper, they are probably pleased that they did. She looks dead sexy and Rimmel knows the notoriety will not harm their bottom line. Their loyalty looks wise now.

Milk
"Ideal Partners"
30s
21 Jan 2006
Children talk about their future romantic prospects in a charming piece promoting milk. As is often the way, the children's little knowledge proves to be dangerous thing but their misconceptions are thoroughly endearing.

Cisco Systems
"Pen"
30s
21 Jan 2006
Amusing ad from Joe Pytka for Cisco Systems shows a man getting a bit carried away when he is given equipment for an overseas trip. Hats off to whoever adapted this for the UK as the voice dubbing is near enough perfect.

Anchor Butter
"Fuzzy Felt Cow"
20s
21 Jan 2008
A fuzzy felt butterfly lifts up a similarly made cow while an upbeat bluegrass piece plays in the background in order to illustrate that the lighter variant of the butter has the same taste with fewer calories. A cute piece of animation that makes its points are succinctly.

Lynx
"Chocolate Man"
30s
21 Jan 2008
To represent the irresistibility of the latest Lynx variant, a man looks as though he is literally made of chocolate. He he then finds that women are unable to stop themselves licking and biting him as he goes about his life. Careful what you wish for, lads.

RAC
"Nodding Off"
40s
21 Jan 2008
Warning from the RAC on the dangers of nodding off at the wheel. DAVID has never found the pounding beat of this flavour of the youth music likely to make him sombulistic but, hey, each to their own. The message is sobering and may strike a chord with the target audience.

Protest
"Protest To Get There"
60s
21 Jan 2009
A bored young man overcomes his ennui with utmost ingenuity in this sportswear ad. He dons boots and climbs aboard a snowboard before jumping into the television and using the snow on the screen there to make his way out of his apartment and up the road.

Kit Kat
"Check Out"
40s
21 Jan 2009
A cashier in a supermarket is 'working like a machine'... literally. He provides the 'bleep' noise normally provided by the till when it scans the groceries but is able to take a break when a Kit Kat travels along the conveyor belt.

Vision Express
"Eyeballs"
30s
21 Jan 2009
A pair of eyes are in the gymnasium where they are put through their paces by a pair of eyes representing Vision Express. This could easily have been a tad clunky but thanks to some skilful direction it holds together extremely well.

Dentyl
"It's A Smooooth Thing"
30s
21 Jan 2009
Using Dentyl is like having a black cabaret serenading you in your bathroom according to the amusingly over-wrought metaphor at the heart of this ad. A young woman swishes the green stuff inside her mouth while the man with the piano does his thing.

Credit Union Northern Ireland
"Hello Brian"
30s
21 Jan 2010
Everyone recognises rugby hero Brian O'Driscoll when he pops into his local branch of the Credit Union. So the cashier decides to tease him by pretending that she thinks he's someone else in this amiable commercial for the Irish financial company.

Road Safety (Ulster)
"Kevin's Story"
50s
21 Jan 2010
Another description of loss from a Northern Ireland mother in this heartfelt road safety campaign. This woman's son was killed when he accepted a lift from an acquaintance who was over the drink drive limit and she reminds us of the far reaching consequences of his choice.

J P Morgan Chase & Co.
"Pop-Up Book"
45s
21 Jan 2011
The Americans excel at this form of cosy corporatism but surely everyone now sees through messages which suggest that big financial companies have any regard for their customers? The pop-up device is cute but this approach provokes waves of cynicism.

Emergen-c
"Jessica"
30s
21 Jan 2011
Just in case we imagine that the scene in this commercial represents actual events, we're helpfully told that this is, in fact, a fictionalisation. We don't know about you but we found it an enormous relief to learn that the ketchup incident probably never happened.

Prince Harry in Afghanistan
"Camp Bastion"
30s
21 Jan 2013
"He's an excellent co-pilot gunner; he's really on top of his game," says Prince Harry's army boss at Camp Bastion. Well, he's not going to say otherwise, is he? Richard Bacon gets to access all areas in this one-off - ahem - documentary for the beeb's baser channel, in which we find out that Hazzer's just an ordinary bloke at heart.

Kit Kat
"Cops and Robbers"
30s
21 Jan 2014
This spot takes its cue from the brand's traditional campaign, where an unlikely moment occurs when the protagonists take time out for a Kit Kat. Here, cops corner bank robbers in an underground car park - and stop for a breather by unwrapping a bar of the well-known chocolate wafer which they share with the robbers. A pleasant chat is had by all before the chase resumes - with an agreed head start for the baddies.

Red Cross
"Every Crisis is Personal"
40s
21 Jan 2014
The reluctance of people to donate money to a charity if they suspect the funds are destined to help people overseas rather than those who require assistance within these islands can be a real blight when it comes to fund-raising. It's a prejudice that no one wants to encourage but the issue cannot be left unaddressed and this terrific film for the British Red Cross negotiates it with aplomb.... not to mention tact and grace.

California Inspires Me
"Jack Black"
3 mins 55s
21 Jan 2015
This charming animation built around a piece of commentary by actor Jack Black - in which he talks about the ways he does and doesn't connect to his home state of California - was devised by Nexus's Nicolas Ménard. The visual imagery proves a perfect foil to Black's surprisingly melancholic reflections on growing up in one of the most glamorous locations in the world.
