Coach - the pep-talking pied piper of power providers - takes a more supportive approach than uSwitch's last spokesperson, reminding us of our daily triumphs rather than telling us we're stupid if we don't give the site a go. If Steve can change a duvet cover on his own, then he can damn well switch energy providers. You go, Steve.

This ad introduces a new campaign for Centre Parcs exploring the power of imagination. The 50-second spot features a family who carve out space in their hectic schedule to spend quality time with each other, nature, and - of course - robots. Yes, that's right - robots. But don't worry... these are eco-friendly, imaginary robots that live happily side by side with the great forest whales.

uSwitch dispense with Philip Glenister's confrontational spiel in favour of an excitable coach named, er, 'Coach' who encourages Bev to be bold when sussing out her broadband supplier. He reminds her of unexpected triumphs she enjoyed involving house repairs and fake tan (not simultaneously); and even if the dodgy results don't set a high bar for uSwitch the ad cleverly leaves us feeling primed to give the service a go.

Carphone Warehouse
"Christmas Elf"

1 Dec 2016
It seems Carphone Warehouse sank the last of their budget into their Dubai-based ad, because Keith Lemon is in markedly more restrained surroundings for his Christmas outing. It's not exactly Lapland, but the malfunctioning lights and shabby backdrop are an inspired move and create a fitting end as the globe-trotting campaign returns home.

Idris Elba continues to flex his considerable charm on Sky's behalf in this latest ad for Sky Q. He tells us that, as with movies, we can now buy and own our favourite box sets three ways; popping up in various scenarios to illustrate this - including in a hot tub filled with tablets. The minimalist bling of the set design ensures nothing distracts us from either him or his message - smart.

Sky Q's recording options merit a "Get in!" from Idris Elba in this latest ad promoting the telly box. It's hard to stop Elba once he's on the move, but the broadcaster has him covered. Customers can now watch recorded shows on their mobile devices without 3G, 4G, or Wi-Fi - meaning Elba can stay entertained while travelling through this mysterious white void.

We're back in Idris Elba's swish flat as the actor provides more information about Sky Q. The latest feature to get Elba excited is the ability to watch whatever's playing on the main Sky box in any room. This means he can zip from the sofa to the exercise room without missing any of the action. No faffing around with wires also ensures that chic pad of his stays pristine.

Sky Q's advertising has delivered on the visual front, but less so on providing tangible details about the "next generation box". Luckily, Idris Elba is at home. The broadcaster's ebullient spokesman informs us that said box can record four programmes at once, while - "BOOM!" - letting us watch a fifth at the same time. A great ad for Elba and a pretty good ad for Sky too.

Pearl & Dean
"Tumbleweed Trainer"
1 min 45s
26 Sep 2016
Pearl & Dean's campaign championing behind-the-scenes stars of cinema takes us back to the golden age of Westerns. While the likes of Clint Eastwood and John Wayne unloaded their six-shooters, someone had to train the tumbleweeds. In the style of a newsreel unearthed from the archives, the film pays tribute to Tinseltown's best tumbleweed wrangler - an "enigma" with the driest job on set.

Carphone Warehouse

This latest ad for Carphone Warehouse starring the globetrotting Keith Lemon sees the Celebrity Juice host in the decadent sprawl of Dubai - and it's clear the capital of the United Arab Emirates has plenty to draw Lemon's eye. Like a bearded kid in a gold-plated candy store, Lemon is constantly distracted from finishing his spiel for the brand by all manner of twenty-four carat excess

Sunny
"Feather Boiler"
30s
19 Jul 2016
We're given some patchy philosophy from Sunny's perma-chilled spokesman as a feather wends its way down into this poor chap's boiler and gives him an unexpected cool spell in the shower. We doubt the "dude" who spoke of yin and yang had modern day loan companies in mind, but the brand's 80s refugee and his easy-going manner looks to have mileage.

Snapfax
"Jacob Carney"

20 Jun 2016
Just in time for the Cannes' Carnival of Profundity, this delicious piece of spoofiness readies delegates professional enough to attend a session or two for a week of self-promotion by wannabe gurus and digital snake-oil sellers. This was hidden in plain sight when it arrived in DAVID's in-box as the PR company provided no clue that it wasn't something to be taken entirely seriously.

Sky Kids
"Dream Home"
60s
18 May 2016
App development never looked like so much fun thanks to the animated workforce busying away in this charming Sky Kids commercial. The likes of SpongeBob SquarePants, Adventure Time's Jake the Dog, and the Scooby-Doo gang help in their own playful ways to help finish the advertised app. A fun way of communicating the broadcaster's desire to engage younger audiences.

Sunny
"Life Support"
60s
16 May 2016
As their name suggests, Sunny have a positive outlook on emergency loans and wish more would share in their ideals. It's an uphill struggle for both them and their competitors, but this ad conveys their easy-going attitude to finance with an admittedly pleasing visual concept: a man in a pastel blazer towing a truckful of vehicles while roller skating. He's supposedly the happy-go-lucky lifeline, but the cynic will ask if he's the right one to roll with.

Sky Box Sets
"You Can't Go To Bed"

12 May 2016
A brief coda to the longer spot in which Idris Elba persuades David to watch another episode of Billions. This has the Sky Ambassador urging him to finish the series... after all, our viewer has watched the rest - doesn't he want to put it to bed before he himself clambers under the duvet? We've all been there.

Sky Box Sets
"Addictively Good"
40s
12 May 2016
Sky chose well when it settled on Idris Elba as the voice of temptation... the flimsy rationalisations that drip like honey from his mouth sound like cast-iron reasons to stay glued to the screen. It would be rude not to watch another episode of that series we're hooked on, wouldn't it? Of course we want to find out what happens next, and we owe it to the scriptwriters, the cast, the director - hell, everyone - to give it the uninterrupted attention it deserves.

Carphone Warehouse

There's a bit of a running joke between DAVID and agency Brothers & Sisters about their commercials featuring Keith Lemon for Carphone Warehouse. We thinks it's fair to say Leigh Francis's character isn't everyone's cup of tea and his unique style certainly rubs us up the wrong way. But it's also fair to note that that's kind of the point about this comedy creation. His raison d'etre is to wind people up and it makes him a brave choice for fronting an advertising campaign.

A two storey flat plays host to this demonstration of Sky Q's streaming abilities. This scene from 'The Walking Dead' is an odd choice perhaps - maybe the sight of guts and gore bouncing up from the living room to the bedroom would have been too harrowing for the squeamish. The ad doesn't tell us anything new, unfortunately, but at least it serves to remind us the service exists.

"Home Viewing"

22 Feb 2016
The VFX boffins behind Sky Q's launch campaign produce another colourful depiction of the broadcaster's new device-to-device streaming technology. This execution focuses on what will be a tempting hook for parents - keeping children engrossed in Peppa Pig from living room to car seat. Visually arresting work, though all we need now are concrete details about Sky Q's requirements to accompany the flying globules.

Sky is introducing a new feature which emulates one of Netflix's cleverest aspects: the ability to seamlessly watch content across multiple screens. Instead of having to remember where you were up to and fast-forward, Sky - like Netflix - now enables you to move to a new device and simply pick up from where you left off.

"Bears"

A softly sung version of Cyndi Lauper's 'True Colors' accompanies a sequence depicting a family of bears who are more than ready for a holiday. Daddy bear - in particular - looks like he might go postal if he isn't given a break and the commuter who glares angrily at him doesn't appear to realise how far he's pushing his luck.

Carphone Warehouse
"Koala Bear"

7 Dec 2015
The Carphone Warehouse continue their festive trip Down Under with a koala bear giving Leigh Francis a break from frontman duties. The VO explains that those savvy enough to buy a smartphone from the retailer can also get their Christmas shopping in order with a free gift card, leaving you as laid-back as a gangster marsupial.

Carphone Warehouse
"Aussie Chrissy"
60s
10 Nov 2015
Leigh Francis once again takes advantage of an exotic location to press the case for the Carphone Warehouse... this time washing up in the Australian outback which is sadly bereft of the advertised retailer. As ever, fans of the eccentric comedian - and there are plenty of them - will warm to his antics while others may be a bit perplexed.

Denplan
"Bad Teeth"
30s
11 Oct 2015
A self-regarding chappie who is unsuccessfully attempting to hide his unkempt teeth while taking a selfie is evidently in dire need of dental assistance. It's an effective pitch even if there's a paradox at its heart... we're urged to ask our dentist about Denplan but it's pretty obvious the snaggletoothed protagonist doesn't have one!

Carphone Warehouse
"Miami"
60s
27 Aug 2015
Love him or loathe him, you can't argue with the gusto Leigh Francis brings to this Carphone Warehouse ad as alter-ego Keith Lemon. His global tour brings him to Miami as he points out the poor choices made by beachgoers when it comes to their phone plans. The ad points consumers to the retailer's "Pin Point" option, but the proposition is a little lost amongst the enjoyable hubris.
