UK Broadband Providers

Lego Batman's great wifi doesn't change the fact he spends his time in a damp cave and nobody wants to play with him. Unfortunately for the Sky Broadband tech team, this means he gets 'batbored' and rings them up for a chat frequently - even breaking his router on purpose for something to talk about. Maybe time for some batcounselling, Bruce.

"Lego Batman"

5 Jan 2017
This entertaining ad claims Sky Broadband’s ‘Tech Team’ are the new heroes in town. Try telling that to everyone’s favourite brooding vigilante, Batman. While Sky’s sparks get on with the job, the Caped Crusader (voiced by Arrested Development’s Will Arnett) makes a nuisance of himself.

"Let it Go"

25 Dec 2016
For the latest instalment, we're offered an update on Oleg - the baby meerkat adopted by Aleksandr and Sergei three Christmases ago and taken back to Africa the following year. These updates are perhaps set to become a regular part of a Christmas push by the price comparison site as we rejoin the youngster in a winter wonderland.

Sainsbury's
"The Greatest Gift: Food"
60s
24 Nov 2016
Having set the scene in its opening commercial and brought in the Goggleboxers over a full ad break, Sainsbury's now lays out its festive stall in all its glory. We're offered a sumptuous blend of live action food photography and stop-motion animation... it's a real treat.

Sainsbury's
"Googlebox Christmas"
3 mins 20s
18 Nov 2016
The cast of Gogglebox become stop-motion characters in this special adbreak from the show's creators Channel 4, and Sainsbury's. Following the groundbreaking ad to promote The Lego Movie - in which Orange Supermarket's current agency PHD recreated an entire commercial break in Lego - this ad sees the Gogglebox crew react to the Sainsbury's animated Christmas ad which launched last week.

Sainsbury's
"The Greatest Gift"

14 Nov 2016
As Sainsbury's saunter across London and park their account between the penny farthings at the HQ of Wieden+Kennedy, their heads will be filled with a parting serenade created for them by outgoing agency AMV. Sung by James Corden and written by Flight of the Conchords's Bret McKenzie, it's a part of a farewell gift that may have the retailer questioning the wisdom of their decision to part company with the agency after forty years.

"Get More Out Of Giving"
90s
4 Nov 2016
Very go the warm and fuzzy route in their Christmas ad that's all about the joy of giving. A woman is followed around by a little heart that grows with every gift she gives to delighted and bewildered passers by, children stuck in hospital, and even Santa himself. It's beautifully animated and very sweet - sure to strike the right chord with its target audience.

Kinder
"Small People"
30s
18 Oct 2016
This ad is a charming continuation of Kinder's animated campaign for their kid-size bars. Our little guy decides he's 'stopping to grow up,' because Kinder chocolate is just the right size for small people and he doesn't want to lose access to his favourite confectionery. What they don't tell you, wee man, is that when you're big enough you can reach the treat cupboard and nobody can stop you eating as much chocolate as you like.

"Aleksandr and Sergei's Rush to the Cinema"
30s
3 Oct 2016
This Compare The Market commercial pays tribute to both 'Speed' and 'Anchorman 2' in one fur-raising trip to the local multiplex. Sergei insists 49.3 mph is the optimum speed to reach the snack counter in time, though he and Aleksandr are put through the slo-mo ringer thanks to some ducks crossing the road. Lovely nods to baby Oleg dotted around the RV, too.

Domino's Pizza
"Masterpizzas"
30s
29 Sep 2016
This slice of artistic silliness from Domino's sees various classic works of art express their enthusiasm at the pizza chain's new Italiano selection. Voiced by comedians Catherine Tate and Kayvan Novak, Vermeer's 'Girl with a Pearl Earring' becomes an "Insta" fanatic, while Munch's 'The Scream' really has something to shout about. Hungry history of art students will find much to like here.

"Hometime"

The latest outing for the animated monster family is every bit as good as the previous instalments. This time, dad has taken his two youngsters to a soft play centre and - in a scene parents across the country will recognise - is trying to entice one of them out of the play area because it's time to leave.

Is it possible to look unengaged from the job of looking unengaged? Somehow, Macaulay Culkin manages to do this as he takes a day off from headlining online click-bait articles to appear in the latest Compare the Market film. This campaign has had many high points so it's bound to have the occasional off day and Culkin provides one.

BBC Sport
"Rio"
90s
10 Jul 2016
The moth had barely finished drinking Ronaldo's tears at last night's Euro 2016 football final before the BBC unveiled the trail for their coverage of this summer's other big sporting event... the Olympics. There was a time when this event overshadowed all others but football's star has now risen so high in the sky that it cannot be eclipsed by anything.

Chipotle
"A Love Story"
4 mins 15s
6 Jul 2016
Having charmed the viewing masses and prompted countless utterances of "I've got something in my eye" thanks to their moving Christmas ad for the Spanish National Lottery, Passion Pictures aim to maintain their impressive storytelling form with this film for Mexican food chain Chipotle featuring a boy, a girl, and their drinks stalls.

"Limited Edition Toys"

WIth 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' receiving another PR blow in the form of cast member Jeremy Irons's critical perspective, at least Compare The Market's Aleksandr and Sergei are doing their best to elicit some goodwill towards the film. Still dressed in their superheroic finery, the pair remind audiences of the website's two-for-one cinema ticket promotion and latest grab-them-while-you-can toys.

Motorola
"Emojis"
30s
16 May 2016
A pair of diverting shorts from Motorola demonstrate what happens to your emojis when your phone bites the dust. After crashing to the ground, a smiley face faces a grim fate before an ambulance comes to the rescue, while a ghost plunges deeper into the spirit world thanks to a rascally devil. Cute animation from Passion's Kyra & Constantin elevates a threadbare proposition.

Insurance Confidential
"Motor Insurance"
30s
21 Apr 2016
Another enjoyable animated ad from Insurance Confidential reminds the Irish populace to keep an eye out for instances of insurance fraud. Sam and Mark's economy with the truth means premium hikes for everyone else - hardly a cartoonish scenario. A witty and effective means of communicating the task force's message, plus we like the policeman arriving to serve justice with a smile on his face.

Insurance Confidential
"Home Insurance"
30s
21 Apr 2016
You wouldn't think insurance fraud would make good cartoon material, but Insurance Confidential prove it can work. Julian Frost's likeable animation is pleasing to the eye, and it cleverly tells a story which will cause viewers' wallets discomfort. This unscrupulous duo think their bogus claims are watertight, but Ireland's anti-fraud centre wants proactive viewers to protect their premiums by reporting the likes of 'Bill' and 'Tom'.

"Batman v Superman"

If you thought Ben Affleck's casting as Batman was controversial, how about Aleksandr Orlov as the Caped Crusader? He and Sergei get into the spirit of 'Batman v Superman' by dressing up as the title characters - alas, car trouble leads them into Del Boy and Rodney territory as they pound the streets to make the premiere in time. Another fun outing for Compare The Market's adaptable stars.

Aquafresh
"Supercharged"
30s
15 Feb 2016
"Supercharged with active microcrystals," declaims the VO in his best Stephen Toast voice as he describes Aquafresh's latest toothpaste variant. Are his sonorous tones meant to distract us from asking what that even means? No matter... the snap of superhero rubber gloves and the sight of foam encasing giant incisors tell us all we need to know: if you don't like what it does to your teeth you can always use it to clean your oven instead.

"Nicole v Aleksandr"
40s
25 Dec 2015
Nicole and Sergei's cinema trip has evidently gone well, seeing as they're now sharing an intimate candlelit dinner a deux. Unfortunately however, Aleksandr intrudes to accuse his friend of fickleness - whatever happened to their philosophy of "mates before dates"? he demands. Thus ensues a stand-off between the human actor and the animated puppet for the affections of a bowtie-wearing meerkat. You couldn't make it up. Oh.

Loteria de Navidad
"Justino"
3 mins 30s
18 Nov 2015
Those itching for another dollop of Pixar-esque magic before the year is out will find plenty to enjoy in this touching ad for the Spanish Christmas Lottery. Night watchman Justino dutifully clocks in for his lonely shift every night. Except he's not really alone - that's the perk of working in a mannequin factory.

Anchor Spreadable
"Christmas Gift"
30s
26 Oct 2015
A new set of lovable monsters grace our screens with this latest from Anchor; this time for spreadable butter rather than cheese. Unapologetically going for the Christmas angle before November like several other advertising early birds, this spot has a young child enamoured of a gift from Grandma... mum and dad, not so much.

Aquafresh
"Scary Sugar"
20s
13 Oct 2015
Aquafresh has cleverly thought to appropriate Halloween - with all its sugary treats - as a vehicle for reminding children and adults alike that teeth must be kept brushed. All that "scary sugar" means extra vigilance is required, and Captain Aquafresh himself shows he's not above succumbing to sweet things with a smile that reveals his fake fangs.

"Nicole Kidman"

4 Oct 2015
Not content with being brand ambassador for exclusive airline Etihad, Nicole Kidman is perfectly happy for us to assume she dates meerkats. Specifically, Compare the Market's Sergei. Eschewing the thrilling prospect of an evening's worth of ironing, the bespectacled one spruces himself up for a cinema date with the actor because he can enjoy the two for one deal offered by the brand. Cheapskate.
