Braun Hand Blender
"Become Unstoppable"
30s
7 Feb 2017
UNIT9ís Cole Paviour has an appetite for destruction in this Braun commercial. We see the Multiquick 9 make short, stylish work of various foodstuffs, while Paviourís camera makes shredded berries, nuts, and coconut flesh look like confetti. While we could do without the dubstep soundtrack, the ad should appeal to fans of hardcore blending.

Hastings Direct
"Toppings"
30s
3 Feb 2017
Weíre back on the Hastings seafront with the insurerís seagull and statue duo. Stephen feels peckish when he spies a tempting ice cream cone. Typical scavenger, eh? His inanimate companion (still without functioning lips) suggests everyone deserves extras when it comes to insurance. Good drooling, by the way - Homer Simpson would be proud.

Channel 4
"Bat-Pun"

3 Feb 2017
Lego Batman is back in another amusing ident for Channel 4. This time the cocky caped crusader is armed with all his usual bat-toys plus a special weapon: puns. Somewhere, Ben Affleck is crying into his muesli about being the third-best Batman this decade. Sorry Batfleck, Will Arnett's spot-on delivery has him up there with the greats.

Batman thinks heís got this Channel 4 announcer gig taped: the outspoken superhero has commandeered the stationís recording booth and wants everyone to know it. Well, at least Bats has a fallback career if he ever tires of crime-fighting. This is one of eighteen ads promoting ĎThe Lego Batman Movieí.

Lego Batmanís a busy brick at the moment. Having starred in ads for Sky and Chevrolet, heís now introducing Channel 4 programmes. Well, that was the plan. Instead, he takes the opportunity to remind viewers thereís only one Batman. The broadcaster will be hoping the egotistical hero sticks to the script over the next few days.

Department for International Trade
"Invest in GREAT Britain"
90s
31 Jan 2017
The Department for International Trade extends an invitation to global investors with this beautifully shot film. Where do you begin when showing Blighty at its best? Well, a cameo from James Bondís Aston Martin DB11 is a good place to start. Dan Gifford and DP David Luther ensure a polished outcome as various UK industries receive their moment in the spotlight.

P & O Ferries
"Steppin' Out"
30s
1 Jan 2017
Joe Jackson's 'Steppin' Out' scores this colourful P&O Ferries commercial. While Rob Brydon promotes P&O's cruise liners with middling results, nifty animation flags up the benefits of their ferry crossings. It's visually very appealing, but because we see no actual destinations there's nothing concrete prompting us to book a trip somewhere.

Morrisons
"Macarons"
10s
15 Dec 2016
This little dollop of sweetness from Morrisons features a close-up of fragile, colourful confections. The sultry voiceover sounds vaguely aroused at the prospect of these tiny meringue-based goodies, and while we're not sure what 'shimmering' brings to the taste of macarons, they certainly look delicious.

Morrisons
"Wine"
30s
8 Dec 2016
Morrisons turn their attention to the wine list in another fetching ad. The supermarket is obviously proud of its award-winning wine selection judging by the seductive presentation of reds, whites, and fizz. Liquid persuasion, indeed. This new strand of advertising suggests the brand can shift between homely and sophisticated.

Morrisons
"Party"
40s
7 Dec 2016
A wee chap gets ready for his family's Christmas party in this Morrisons ad. He's very concerned about his hair and natty outfit - because a young lady he has designs on will be attending. Luckily he's got a platter of party food ready to woo her, and they hang out under the table while the grown ups get sozzled and talk about boring stuff up above.

Metropolitan Police
"Independent Witness"
55s
22 Nov 2016
The Metropolitan Police depict both sides of the story in this bold film. Shot from body-worn cameras, we get up close and extremely personal with a violent dispute. While two officers neutralise the threats, witness statements contradict what we see. By putting us in their shoes, Greater London's police force aim to show why these cameras are becoming increasingly necessary.

Morrisons
"Storage"
40s
20 Nov 2016
Space is at a premium in this festive Morrisons commercial. A household uses every nook and cranny to store the Christmas fare. Even the long-abandoned barbecue becomes a makeshift cheese pantry. Luckily, everyone and everything fits on the big day. Should resonate with anyone concerned about how the fridge is going to cope over the next few weeks.

Morrisons
"Mac & Cheese"
30s
17 Nov 2016
Morrisons present another slo-mo ad for their luxury ready meal selection. This time, itís mac and cheese with a seafood twist. As the ingredients are presented in loving close-up, the VO lulls us into craving ďthe ultimate comfort foodĒ. Thereís macaroni and cheese, and then thereís Morrisons macaroni and cheese. Well, something like that.

Morrisons
"Christmas Quiz"
40s
7 Nov 2016
The Morrisons Christmas ad stars a lad with future quiz show champion written all over him. The youngster answers all manner of Christmas-related questions, while his knowledge of past Eurovision winners isnít too shabby either. By the time the big day arrives, heís earned his place at the table. Kudos as well for challenging granddad to a game of vintage Trivial Pursuit - none of those newfangled editions, thank you.

Morrisons
"Frangipane"
30s
21 Oct 2016
Another appetising film from Morrisons promoting their top-end dishes. This time, it's an apple frangipane tart receiving its moment in the limelight. For Great British Bake-Off fans who found the pastry round too stressful, this should do the trick. Yann Secouet and food stylist Fergal Connelly capture sugar falling like snow onto almond flakes- very Christmassy.

Kinder
"Small People"
30s
18 Oct 2016
This ad is a charming continuation of Kinder's animated campaign for their kid-size bars. Our little guy decides he's 'stopping to grow up,' because Kinder chocolate is just the right size for small people and he doesn't want to lose access to his favourite confectionery. What they don't tell you, wee man, is that when you're big enough you can reach the treat cupboard and nobody can stop you eating as much chocolate as you like.

10 Oct 2016
How do you make beef brisket and roast potatoes look sexy? It's a conundrum, for sure; but Morrisons thinks it's found the answer. Slow-motion photography savours each succulent chunk of meat and mid-air roastie, while the VO from the Dervla Kerwen School of Food Commentary makes "rich red wine, mushroom, and thyme jus" sound like a love letter. Suddenly, beef brisket's gone up in the world.

Argos
"Bounding"
30s
29 Sep 2016
This ad from Argos is as innovative as it is colourful, showing deliveries made with a bit more oomph than you might expect. Not your typical high-street ad, the choreography is fun without being slapstick, and the comic, colour-coordinated customers are a lovely visual touch. DAVID might have to order something if the same-day delivery comes complete with acrobatics like that.

The final part of this short film for iD Mobile gives us a feel for what blind martial artist Lee Hoy experiences in the ring. Unable to see more than the outline of his opponent, he has to quell an almost overwhelming terror: it's like a very angry grizzly is looming out of twilight fog in front of you and having to stand your ground. But if he overcomes this, adrenalin kicks in... and he frequently wins.

San Miguel
"Tony Plant"

San Miguel's series of shorts arguing that not of all of life's riches are to be found in wallets and bank vaults continues with artist Tony Plant. A landscape artist with a difference, Plant's canvas is the very ground he walks on. He showcases some nifty rake skills as he turns a beach into a circular spectacular before the tide crashes the party. For Plant, it's a creative cycle that provides endless gratification.
