UK Milk

Cravendale find a kindred milk drinker for their moustachioed hipster in the form of Eddie the Eagle. This tie-in commercial neatly sidesteps the usual "and to celebrate the launch of... " spiel by incorporating the cinematic version of Britain's favourite ski jumper into the brand's calcium cool philosophy.

I don't really understand why you'd try to distract attention from on issue by bringing up a completely separate one.

Straightforward claims presented with layers of irony always works for us and this does a great job of making it clear that Cravendale is the choice of the milk connoisseur. It's a departure from suggesting that it's the first choice of cows and cats as has been claimed in the past, and although there's always been much to admire about the way this brand has been advertised, this instantly feels like DAVID's favourite approach.

"Barry the Biscuit Boy"

29 Mar 2014
This animated film has young Barry the Biscuit swimming in a river of Cravendale and very nearly coming undone. Luckily for him, biscuit-based lifeforms can cope with the loss of their heads with remarkable alacrity and his parents are able to merely replace the part of him that dissolved into the milky stream so that before long he's ready to fight another day.

One of the milkmen "cat-napped" in a previous commercial is forced to issue a message on behalf of his feline captive revealing that Carvendale are giving away 'epic straws'. The start of this ad is the same as the previous one but the hostage footage looks like it's being broadcast for the first time.

The angry Cravendale cats are responsible for the disappearance of milkmen from our streets, according to this ingenious commercial. An excellence sequence illustrates this contention before the hypothesis is put forward that captured milk deliveries have been brainwashed into acting on the cats' behalf.

This amusing commercial for Cravendale if the latest step in the remarkable comeback of The Muppets. Kermit the frog presents a backpack version of himself which is available to punters who by the advertised milk but it's put into the shade by a Magic potato.

This amusing ad speculates about the very first cow milking... what was it that persuaded early man to grapple with bovine udders for the very first time? This celebration of his "unhinged genius" makes the point that without him, there'd be no Cravendale.

Alan Carr makes a cameo appearance in this special version of the recent Cravendale ad. He joins the cats clustered at the back door and asks if he's in the right place for the Cats auditions. One of several films made for a recent comedy gala on Channel 4.

This reprise of the new Cravendale ad has the cats using their newly-developed opposing thumbs to open a back door and provoke a confrontation. These kitties want the advertised milk and nothing's going to stop them getting it.

"Cats With Thumbs"

This attention-grabbing piece for Cravendale milk asks us to imagine what would happen if cats had opposable thumbs. Clearly they would plot against us in a bid to steal our milk and this commercial uses CGI to illustrate how this feline menace might unfold.

Another helping of complete madness on behalf of the milk that stays fresh for longer. The cow, the Pirates and the cyclist travel back in time inside the fridge after it's struck by lightning. They prep a bath for Cleopatra before tackling a dragon for St George.

Another piece of wonderfully surreal nonsense on behalf of Cravendale milk. Cow, cyclist and pirate are reunited in the café when a fire is bizarrely started by the pirate rubbing his wooden leg against the table... all to prove that the milk is nice even when heated.

A collection of farmers of various ages play the William Tell overture using glasses of milk and straws in this typically amusing Cravendale ad. As with the other ads in this campaign, the animation style underlines the madcap humour and makes for highly diverting viewing.

Presumably there's a sly message about the danger of additives in milk that's not as pure as Cravendale in this furious animated piece. the characters from the previous ad are joined by a raging bull who drinks pint after pint of the white stuff in angry fashion.
