UK Promos

French pop group Las Aves reunite with director Daniel Brereton for some more girl-gang attitude. Instead of Peckham, the action takes place on the streets of - you guessed it - Shanghai.

The city’s tight alleys and modern districts play host to some acrobatic street entertainment. These five visions in electric pink roam the city while cartwheeling, spinning plates, and juggling diabolos.

Such expressive performances complement the band’s breezy sound and defiant lyrics: "And all you wanted to do was be yourself/ And all they're trying to prove is you're a criminal".

The promo is shot at just below real time, allowing us to appreciate each skilful move. Meanwhile, Brereton and DP Dylan Doyle make the most of the location’s varied cityscape with some sharp photography. See you in Shanghai.

This impossibly catchy track by French group Las Aves (Spanish for 'birds') is the second release from their album 'Die In Shanghai', and the aim is to have a video from a different part of the world for each song. This from Daniel Brereton focuses on a sassy girl gang in Peckham, as they get their hair done for a night out on the town limo-style. Pure feel-good fun.
