Iskra Lawrence, Denise Bidot and Marquita Pring strut their stuff in the American desert to promote Simply Be's spring/summer collection. It’s been interesting to watch the retailer's cast of plus-size models change with the seasons. This sun-kissed effort has glamour, but still ensures the brand remains accessible to its target audience.

Another strong outing from Simply Be which puts big sizes front and centre ahead of the festive party season. Models Gabi Fresh and Iskra Lawrence step out in the retailer's winter collection, ensuring all eyes are on them in the process. Sigma and Paloma Faith's 'Changing' is a shrewd campaign anthem, enforcing the brand's desire to shift perceptions about body image.

Diversity comes in many shapes and sizes. While Channel 4 have rightly been lauded for the inclusivity of their Paralympics work, and other advertising has received praise for casting mixed-race couples and hinting at gay relationships, Simply Be have been ploughing a different furrow but one that is just as important.

This latest spot for online fashion brand Simply has found a way to give off the slick, polished vibe of more established fashion retailers while still retaining a strong sense that these are clothes for real women. It's appealingly done: the clothes look good, the women look good, and the fact they're normally proportioned is hugely refreshing in a market saturated with underweight clothes horses.

Love's new ad for Simply Be has a different vibe to the ones that made the brand stand out. Starring Iskra Lawrence, it's somehow slicker and more polished - the models may not be rail-thin, but they're model-beautiful and not quite as accessible as the women out partying in NYC in the autumn spot. While this looks lovely, we hope the campaign doesn't lose the 'realness' that made the previous ads so joyous.

A winter winner from Simply Be sees the crew living it up in the Big Apple under a dusting of snow. We love how unforced these ads are - a terrific breath of fresh air and a real sense of genuine attitude. The young women look great, and they look great company. Fab role models for girls who don't conform to the slender norm and who shouldn't feel apologetic about it.

In the past, plus size clothing retailer Simply Be has been guilty of undermining their core proposition by placing their models in decidedly unflattering scenarios. This excellent ad shows lessons have been learned with Lucy Spraggan making way for Paloma Faith on the soundtrack and Rupert Murray's documentary-style direction providing a real boost in visual quality.

Once again, it's frustrating to see that while proper curvy models are used to show off the new season's collection from Simply Be, they're made to act as if they've just wandered off the Benny Hill Show. Dimpling prettily and playing peek-a-boo with a beach ball, it's cringeworthy stuff - and Lucy Spraggan's glottal stops make the spot equally hard to listen to.

At least the models are reasonably plus sized, even if that's the only thing going for this ad. Bigger than a 12, love? Then this is the sort of thing you deserve, it says. A ploddy track by Lucy Spraggan sums it up: plinky-plonk jolliness that feels like it's designed to humour the fat lasses without actually seeing them as people. How depressing. It's like CBeebies for women.

Simply Be: a depressing selection of clothing ranges that can't pass for fashion as they were never 'on-trend' in the first place. But hey - they come in sizes 14-32 so mustn't grumble. That seems to be the message here, as normal-sized women cheerfully greet each other wearing outfits even readers of Chat! wouldn't give wardrobe space to.

Three women appear to have made their way to North Africa to find some new fashion ideas. They needn't have bothered... apparently, they could simply contact Simply Be who specialise in providing lovely clothes for the larger woman. Not that size 14 is large... obviously.
