STRANGELOVE FOR TUBBY BROTHER AND FLASH FACTORY.

StrangeLove have affirmed their commitment to emerging talent by adding Tubby Brother and Marco Prestini to their roster of directors.

As ambitious as they are prolific, the directors bring a diverse array of skills to their new home.

1. Marco Prestini

Marco Prestini, who sometimes operates as Flash Factory, is known both for his cinematic commercial films and his experimental approach to more artistic projects. He started directing while at Business School... and soon found his artistic ambitions taking over.

His work with deluxe brand Golden Goose showcases both of these dimensions in one visually arresting package.

Like a lot of young filmmakers, Prestini has often fulfilled multiple roles and his 'Three Rivers' film was the first piece of work where he didn't act as cinematographer an editor in addition to his other duties. Focusing completely on directing paid off with an assured narrative.

2. Tubby Brother

Fraternal duo Dan and Ben Tubby - aka Tubby Brother - take a documentary approach to both their commercial and short film work.

Their ads for Sainsbury's (focused on the Paralympics) offer an example of how they use archive and current footage to create compelling portraits.

Their multi award-winning documentary on Welsh rugby player Gareth Thomas for Guinness demonstrates the power branded content can achieve in the right hands.

The film empathetically tells the story of the former Wales captain's fear of rejection by his team due to his sexuality. The film gives the documentary's subject and subject matter a deserved respect. The longer format provides an intriguing example of what the Tubbys can achieve on a larger canvas.

Tubby Brother and Marco Prestini's reels are now up on the StrangeLove site for you to feast your eyes on. For more information on them or anyone else on the roster, get in touch with Claire Blewer Jones at claire@strangelove.co or give them a ring at 020 7462 0310.
