Having already soundly conquered the music world, Khan turned her artistic ambitions to directing. She's already built up a rich and complex body of work, including 'I Do,' which Khan wrote and directed.
The short film forms part of the feature film 'MADLY,' a collection of six 15 minute contemporary love stories from a global list of directors including Gael Garcia Bernal, Mia Wasikowska and Anurag Kashyap. Check out the trailer and keep an eye out for Khan's bride character.
Her distinctive aesthetic can also be seen in the promo for 'Garden's Heart' - the track she co-wrote with Jon Hopkins for the soundtrack of Kevin Macdonald’s 2013 feature film 'How I Live Now.'
It's brooding stuff - considering the film itself is about a girl who falls in love with her cousin during the outbreak of World War Three - and Khan's moody, considered fingerprints are all over the song and accompanying promo.
Khan's addition bolsters BRF's already exceptional roster of directors, particularly featuring a wealth of diverse female talent. MD Margo Mars commented: "Natasha has a unique directorial style which encompasses her visual and musical knowledge, and is another strong female vision to reinforce our roster of storytellers."
Natasha Khan's reel is over at BRF. For more information about her or anyone else on the roster, get in touch with Margo Mars or give them a ring on 020 8150 8300.
