"Come One, Come All"
30s
23 Aug 2017
Not to Scale’s Elliot Lim brings us all the fun of the fair - the New York State Fair, that is. This eye-catching commercial offers a vibrant tour of the Syracuse event, capturing giraffes, rollercoasters, and corn dogs in one continuous shot. Meanwhile, the VO channels his inner ringmaster with a suitably animated performance.

Salvage Hunters
"Viva La Salvage"
45s
23 Aug 2017
Having presumably raided every nook and cranny in the country, Quest TV’s Salvage Hunters hit the continent in search of objets d’art. This tongue-in-cheek promo sees Drew Pritchard and his accomplice embrace the French way of life - namely stuffing themselves with bread and cheese in opulent surroundings.

Volvo
"Music of the Mind"
7 mins 24s
23 Aug 2017
Another poignant offering from Volvo's 'Human Made Stories' series tells the story of Rosie, a young violinist whose career was tragically cut short when a terrible accident left her paralysed. We watch as advances in technology allow her to play again, after a fashion - the film coming to an emotional climax as she joins in with her orchestra for the first time in thirty years. Affecting storytelling from DARYL.

Mr Jukes
"Leap of Faith (ft. De La Soul & Horace Andy)"
3 mins 07s
23 Aug 2017
Newly-shorn Bombay Bicycle Club frontman Jack Steadman continues his psychedelic rebirth as Mr Jukes with ‘Leap of Faith’. Following his barbershop mystery tour, Strange Beast’s Parallel Teeth now takes Steadman, De La Soul, and Horace Andy on an interstellar trip. Propelled by the track’s upbeat groove, geometric rockets and flowing blobs combine to delirious effect.

Carlsberg
"Expressions"
60s
23 Aug 2017
Mads Mikkelsen returns in another highly entertaining ad for Carlsberg. The sensual Scandinavian takes a more laid back approach than his last outing and embraces his country's more reserved nature, explaining that Danes prefer to speak as little as possible, often reducing verbose statements to a salubrious silence and telling expression... or three.

Doctor Foster
"Series Two"
40s
23 Aug 2017
The second season of the BBC's 'Doctor Foster' series promises to be as dramatic as the first. This trail suggests fans are in for a new batch of thrills and spills, teasing titbits via a montage of clips of the new episodes. Suranne Jones returns as the titular doctor, whose tumultuous personal life threatens to overshadow her practice all over again.

IKEA
"Enough"
60s
23 Aug 2017
Dirty dishes and anti-social teenagers have no place in Ikea’s world view. The Swedish furniture giant’s latest ad depicts a mother at the end of her tether. As her offspring and their friends monopolise her home, she decides enough is enough. Hint taken, they power down and tidy up. More thoughtful domesticity from director Martin Werner.

Nuffield
"Personal M.O.T."
30s
22 Aug 2017
Nuffield advertise their personalised gym services in this languid ad. Long shots of gym goers slogging away at their personal health goals make up the film, with one guy suffering through a particularly intense spin class and giving off the distinct impression that he's persevering for health rather than pleasure. You go, dude.

Nationwide
"Armbands"
60s
22 Aug 2017
Mancunian poet Mike Garry reveals his unorthodox approach to swimming lessons in this Nationwide ad. To help his children get used to life in the deep end, he subtly deflated their armbands beforehand. Luckily, they survived to young adulthood - and the building society’s student current account can help them stay afloat.

Bacofoil
"Zippy"
20s
22 Aug 2017
For a moment we thought Bacofoil had strayed into slasher territory. Fortunately, it’s just meatballs and tomato sauce entering this zipper bag. The animated container seems to enjoy his, er, meal time a little too much. He and his companion then surprise this stricken bloke at home. As if a broken arm wasn’t bad enough…

Smart Cars
"Photocopier"
30s
22 Aug 2017
A bloke abuses the office copier in this funny ad for Smart Cars. While he's busy giving it the traditional smushed face treatment, which he finds very amusing despite his colleagues' lack of appreciation, Smart Cars reckon electricity deserves better - like powering eco friendly cars, for example. We're just glad he kept his trousers on...

Adidas
"My Way"
90s
21 Aug 2017
As sportswear brands continue to court Asian markets, Adidas remix their recent ‘Original Is Never Finished’ ad. Chinese stars Meng Jia, Chen Man, and Eason Chan take centre stage as Frank Sinatra’s ‘My Way’ provides the backing track. Bristling with visual glitches and baseball bat-wielding pandas, it’s another potent rallying cry.

Volvo
"Nemo's Garden"
5 mins 41s
22 Aug 2017
Volvo’s Sky Atlantic partnership continues to promote thought-provoking feats of design and engineering. This seabound documentary charts Sergio and Luca Gamberini’s efforts to safeguard one farm’s basil crop. The answer? Underwater greenhouses. Gamberini Snr. claims: “When you look deep enough, you will always find a solution” - turns out he’s a man of his word.

National Responsible Fatherhood Clearinghouse
"Dad Jokes"
60s
22 Aug 2017
A quick glance at this year’s top Edinburgh Fringe gags confirms groan-inducing puns are alive and well. This ad for the National Responsible Fatherhood Clearinghouse (or, er, fatherhood.gov) celebrates lame dad jokes by letting their intended audience deliver the punchlines. No matter how hard you wince at the material, the cast's laughter is infectious.

Kit Kat
"Katapult"
60s
22 Aug 2017
There's krafty konstruction in this klever ad for Kit Kat... okay, unlike Donald Trump, we'll stop with the Ks now. This funny film features an excellent satire of the endless woes provided by flat pack furniture, as two blokes try to build a medieval weapon via picture-only instructions. Director Trevor Clarence draws out the comedy, including some relatable moments of frustration.

Renault
"Behind Car Doors"
90s
22 Aug 2017
Adam Kaleta has directed this intriguing piece of branded content for Renault, exploring what really happens behind car doors over the course of a year. The families taking part have mixed expectations about what they'll see, from the 'deep conversations' they have behind the wheel to the blissful silence of finally-sleeping children. The conscious fly on the wall style works well for this format.

ClearScore
"Park"
30s
22 Aug 2017
We’re beginning to think Moose will never grasp his owner’s dealings with ClearScore. Still, the pooch has other things on his mind… like his squeaky octopus. The two are joined down the park by Kev and his very French bulldog, Dean. Alas, the latter can’t abide by his cumbersome new collar. Now there’s a good lamp.

KFC
"Southern Legends"
30s
22 Aug 2017
KFC are bringing a selection of up and coming bands from the American south - Alabama, Texas, and Tennessee - to play at their stores around the country to advertise the new 'Southern Legends' burger range. Drum solos may be unfashionable but they get the job done here and make sure our attention is focussed when attention is drawn to the offer.

TotallyMoney
"Clive Tyldesley"
30s
22 Aug 2017
ITV’s Clive Tyldesley draws on his years of broadcasting experience for TotallyMoney.com. The commentator swaps the gantry for this couple’s bedroom, calling Dan’s credit score results as if it were a Champions League final. Footiephobes will be non-plussed, but Tyldesley’s committed performance makes a fun case for the advertised website.

Virgin Media
"Elvis"
30s
22 Aug 2017
It's a pop culture bonanza as Virgin Media celebrate the 'age of promiscuity' in this upbeat ad. Cultural icons from vampires to Marilyn Monroe to the Mad Hatter join the King himself in a little white wedding chapel, all to encourage customers to sign up for their 'no strings' contracts. It's a rather offbeat creative, and the execution maximises its potential for fun.

Nissan X-Trail
"Visiting Mum"
40s
21 Aug 2017
Nissan swap river rapids for ash sledging in this X-Trail commercial. While Mum studies this volcanic landscape (Mordor, perhaps?), her brood spring into action. Despite the impressive location, the car maker advises caution: “This is a fantasy scene. Do not emulate”. Well, that’s our weekend plans snookered then.

Tempur
"Practice"
20s
21 Aug 2017
Serena Williams takes a novel approach to mattress use in this strange ad for Tempur. The footage of her playing tennis atop the advertised mattress is supposed to demonstrate how little it moves while you sleep, but it ends up looking like the most joyless version of bouncing on the bed ever. And we've still no idea what 'this sleep is power' is supposed to mean either.

Currys PC World
"Laptop"
40s
21 Aug 2017
A Currys PC World employee tries (and fails) to test drive the new Lenovo IdeaPad at home. “Please don’t touch it, son” was never going to work, was it? The retailer set a high bar for themselves with 2015’s Jeff Goldblum campaign and while this subtler approach is unlikely to garner as much attention, it might generate more business.

Yeti
"Demolition"
56s
21 Aug 2017
Cult US cooler brand Yeti shows us what it's made of in this no-holds-barred demonstration ad. Fire, crushing, inquisitive beasts and more are no match for this bag's durability - so you should have no problem keeping your drinks chilled if you decide to have a picnic just as the apocalypse begins. The music choice is a little strange, but hey... it's a small gripe. We've just witnessed the might of the Bigfoot of bags, after all.

Chester Zoo
"Ready or Not"
30s
19 Aug 2017
This frenetic Chester Zoo ad suggests the attraction has plenty to keep budding explorers entertained. Whether mum and dad can keep up is another matter. While youngsters run wild, we see the zoo’s residents in live-action and animated form. Another option for parents counting down the days before the schools go back.
