Director Martin Stirling swaps wrangling CGI tigers for the frontline in this compelling WWF commercial. Shot from a first-person perspective, the ad follows three protagonists as they pursue the charity’s goals - albeit in different ways.

WWF trackers Pavel and Singye record paw marks and hunt the poachers. Londoner Ollie’s routine is less exotic, but his energy is spent training for a fundraising run. Pavel, Singye, and Ollie may never meet, but their respective efforts combine to meaningful effect.

The charity shifts gear from slow-motion tiger footage. We see mere traces of the beast - now its human companions take centre stage. It’s refreshing to see boots on the ground, and the charity creates a firm bond between its donors and its global work.

60% 'Poor'? Really? That's incredibly harsh.

Who will take the coveted Christmas number one spot this year? On the animated critter chart, that is. So far, we’ve had boxers, foxes, robins, (teddy) bears, and even carrots. Now the WWF up the ante with a tiger. Unfortunately, this big cat isn’t in the best of health… or in its rightful home. Instead, it’s lying wounded in a semi-detached house. Rather than dial animal control, this family decides to nurse the creature back to health.

The WWF promotes this year's Earth Hour initiative by charting a hypothetical timeline of environmental and ecological achievements in reverse. It has to be said that the protagonist's ageing make-up is distracting, and while the charity's future-proofing message is earnest, it's left to the viewer's curiosity to investigate the "social power" angle.

This collaboration between the WWF and Will Young blends charity film and music promo without compromising on gravitas. The singer's involvement is a real coup for the charity and the combination of his impassioned rendition of 'What The World Needs Now Is Love' and moving shots of some of the world's most cherished species should drum up support from both music fans and animal lovers alike.

Every now and then, we'll see a film that grips us from the very first shot and doesn't loosen its grasp until the final frame - and this piece for the World Wildlife Fund by independent film maker Mac Premo is a rather wonderful example. It's always hard to be certain whether skills like these will be translatable in the world of TVCs but if Mac Premo could make a TVC as compelling as this, it would be quite a proposition.

This compelling ad for the charity uses animation to excellent effect to highlight the damage caused by oil exploration in Virunga. The simplicity of the concept - your signature can help draw the line - could sound like a trite play on words, but the way it's brought to life on screen is rather moving.

This beautiful film for the WWF uses an innovative piece of imagery to remind us that we're all interconnected. Figures made from string are linked by several strands to other figures made from string and it's an apt metaphor for the fragility of life on our planet.

This commercial cleverly juxtaposes wildlife images and moments from within the urban jungle. It's a sufficiently eye-catching idea that it doesn't really matter whether or not the comparison is useful... it gains the attention either way.

This eye-catching film by the WWF aims to raise awareness of The Cerrado... an important region of Brazil celebrated for its bio-diversity. Hand shadows are used to draw attention to the flora and fauna of the area and stress the importance of doing something to protect them.

Clearly the WWF feel we're not interested in saving the planet unless it involves cute pandas so they've decided to bring pandas into the equation in this charming animated film which graphically illustrates the importance of behaving responsibly.
