Orange prove knowledge is power in these amusing 20” ads. A group of workmates enjoy boardroom privileges, Bangles on-demand, and infinite cake. No brute force required - mere hints of plot twists and cliffhangers are enough to turn any situation in their favour.

Each vignette takes spoiler alerts to cunning extremes. We like the bakery potentially driven to bankruptcy on account of avoiding Walking Dead giveaways. Meanwhile, the telecom company suggest their telly service can give wily viewers the upper hand.

You'd think after leading Real Madrid to Champions League glory that Zinedine Zidane would fancy some R&R this summer. "Non, non!", say Orange in this zippy commercial as the France legend lines up a new goal: to assemble football's most passionate fans ahead of Euro 2016. Not that he'll be doing any of the running around, mind you.

Controlling your home via your smartphone is given an enjoyably mischievous spin in this French ad for the Orange Homelive app. Rather than sit about ruminating on the widget's energy-saving capabilities, this couple indulges in a remote game of one-upmanship by turning blenders, vacuum cleaners, and even beds against one another. Roguish fun with great use of Louis Prima and Keely Smith's 'Old Black Magic'.

The latest Goldspot ad for Orange is something of a return to form. Ray Winstone and Ben Drew turn up at a London pub in their roles as Regan and Carter in the rebooted version of The Sweeney but something is amiss. It couldn't be that they've found themselves in the midst of an Orange commercial, could it?

This ad poses the question: what would happen if Orange and Intel got together to make a smartphone? It then answers its own question by suggesting that the resulting phone would be so fast that it would need to be tested on the salt plains of Utah. It's an impressive claim but, if we're honest, the answer provided doesn't tally with our guess about the outcome of this union.

What we really like about this commercial is the way they eschewed a slice of time technique in favour of asking the actors to sit as still as possible. The flaw of this approach is manifest but makes it charming rather than impressive and, let's face it, for a lot less money.

Ben Stiller has a lot to answer for. The American comedy actor's distinctive approach infuses this brilliant piece suggesting that a more militant approach is being adopted to stop people using their mobile phones while they're in the cinema.

Another mobile phone ad with an understandable proposition... there must be something in the water. This time a bored man at a railway station is assisted by bizarrely dressed miniature ninjas who provide him with entertainment at a fixed price on his mobile phone. Lovely movement from the little chaps.

Various Christmas ornaments (and a snowman) jostle forward discreetly in a bid to get a better view as gifts are opened on the big day in this French commercial. They all seem impressed with the central proposition and those of you who speak French will understand why.

This attention-grabbing piece for Orange features two telephones shaped like human heads talking to one another. One explains to the other that he's received a free pair of "musical earmuffs" from the advertised mobile phone service provider. A winning formula.

"Phone Breaks"

At last, a Gold Spot ad for Orange that lives up to the name. This spoof pretends to introduce a new idea for the cinema called the "phone break". A number of punters in Hollywood talk enthusiastically about the initiative leaving us with the suspicion that some may think it's for real.

This is the longer version of the marvellous ad directed by Chris Palmer reinforcing Orange's connection with the cinema. An extension of the orange Wednesdays offer now allows punters to download movies and watch them at home and they're going to need a lot more popcorn.

There's an invasion of popcorn as people watch movies in this ad which claims that the mobile phone provider is bringing the cinema experience to people in their homes (or tents). The music sounds like an orchestral version of one of the tracks from Pulp Fiction... which is a fitting choice.

This cute animated commercial follows the progress of a ten pence coin as it's lost and found by various characters before it rolls towards a young man who uses it to take advantage of a special offer from Orange enabling punters to top up for just 10p.

This is an excellent way to convey the news that Orange and T-Mobile have opened up their networks to one another's customers. Sped up footage enables the news to be told via a pair of billboard posters. But are they right to assume the benefit is so obvious that it doesn't warrant a mention?

Another in this excellent series of ads for the mobile phone network which rely heavily on a really engaging voiceover performance (who we still haven't identified... do let us know if you are aware who this is). In this ad, we're told all about the 'panther' service which is like having a lot of miniature versions of yourself.

A real return to form for a campaign that had started to look as though it was losing it's way. Jack Black plugs his forthcoming appearance in the title role of Gulliver's Travels by refusing to play along with Orange.

You have to love the way this campaign is willing to make fun of the very people it's trying to appeal to. In this execution, a man tries to get the balance right between constantly updating his status online and providing no information at all.

This is one of those rare occasions when an appetising proposition is so strong that very little artfulness is needed to communicate it. Instead, it employs a straightforward explanation of how Orange's new iPhone application will benefit film goers.
