Baileys
"Cancelled Plans"
20s

UK Liqueurs

Baileys celebrate the joy of cancelled plans in this amusing ad. Introverts will be familiar with the unexpected pleasure of shirking social commitments - swapping polite party conversation for curling up on the sofa with someone you like. The faceless approach is slightly odd, but Joanna Lumley's indulgent VO remains effective as ever.

Baileys
"Made in Chelsea Sponsorship"
60s
10 Oct 2017
These amusing idents from Baileys offer a loving spoof of the 'Made in Chelsea' set. From man-bun interventions to commitment-phobic hot chocolate, we're given a taste of the show's comic appeal along with a look at some tempting boozy recipes. The tone and styling are spot on, and bound to appeal to liqueur-lovers watching the latest show's season.

"Cosy"

No doubt many will subscribe to the Baileys vision of extreme cosiness. Despite the log fire and soft furnishings , this sofa looks unattended... until a hand reaches out from under the cushions to grope for a fistful of popcorn. Now that's fast track comfort. All that remains is to pour a glass of the advertised liquor and pure indulgence is yours for the night.

Baileys
"Presents"

Another in the new campaign for Baileys exhorting us to take the speediest route to a glass of the cream liqueur. Want a drink but need to hide the prezzies? Knock a hole in the wall, shove them in, you're done. Joanna Lumley's VO suggests vandalism can seem like an act of classy irreverence so long as you keep it in the home.

Baileys
"Pear"
20s
11 Nov 2016
This festive ad for Bailey's features a syrupy pear playing hard to get as a diner chases it round her dessert plate with a fork. Eventually it shoots off and meets an untimely end, at which point the anonymous diner improvises with a glass of the liqueur. Joanna Lumley's dulcet VO and Yello's 'Oh Yeah' give the whole spot a strange 80s vibe.

"Flat White Martini"

If your usual coffee doesn't quite give you the hit you need, you can always try a flat white... Martini. Yup: a slug of vodka, a shot of espresso, and a glug of Baileys. Sorted. We surmise that it might provide a similar caffeine-and-booze kick to vodka Redbulls, only with a bit more class and something to line the stomach before you set up the next round.

Baileys
"Global Girls’ Night Out"
60s
20 Nov 2014
Young women around the world are shown dressed up and heading off into their respective cities in this slick ad for Baileys, which demonstrates that a night out is pretty much the same the globe over (Newcastle not withstanding, obvs). It's a celebration of female solidarity, and suggests this generation of twenty-somethings are well-grounded individuals.

Baileys
"Aerial Artist"
30s
28 Nov 2013
A woman tumbles gracefully through the air draped in fabrics the colour of Baileys... which she becomes as the drink is poured into a glass cup of coffee. The movement of both are billowing and balletic, and it feels designed for the big screen which would provide the full visual impact this spot is going for.

Baileys
"Nutcracker"

15 Nov 2013
Baileys has done some beautiful work this year, but this has to be their most extraordinary spot yet. Contrasting with the executions built around swirling abstractions billowing like silken wreaths of smoke, this is a decidedly corporeal - if fantastical - perspective that brings ballet to the Christmas ball.

Baileys
"Chocolat Luxe"

9 Oct 2013
The folk who make Baileys have created an even more indulgent version of their creamy drink... and you may not be entirely shocked to learn that it involves chocolate. The launch commercial by 101 has been turned into a suitably hedonistic piece via the talents of RSA's Johnny Hardstaff and the clever folk at MPC.

Baileys
"Teaser"

Confusingly for our audience, this is a teaser for a commercial we've already added to DAVID. It's a brief glimpse at the impressive swirls that make the new work for Baileys one of the best-looking ads of the year.

Baileys
"Pour Spectacular"

BBH and Riff Raff Films have combined forces to produce a beautiful piece of work for Baileys. Blondie's Rapture is combined with Busby Berkeley-style choreography to generate a truly wonderful result. And, more importantly, it's a piece of work that persuasively and prominently places the advertised product at it centre.

Baileys
"Cheeky Treat (Directors Cut)"
3 mins
15 Feb 2012
This online film has comedy actor James Bachman taking over from his sexy brother in the kitchen. What follows is a pretty decent comedy sketch but whether it will persuade you to (a) drink Baileys or (b) use Baileys as an ingredient when making cupcakes is a moot point.

Baileys
"Biscotti"
20s
19 Sep 2011
This campaign implies that you only ever drink Baileys by accident... which is about right. English visitors to Italy are surprised to be served the sickly sweet liqueur when ordering "biscotti" but it's not their language skills that have let them down.

Baileys
"Ice"
20s
14 Dec 2010
Surely, if anything, this is the time this group of wholesome individual "didn't make their own ice"? Is it just us or does this look like a post-Apocalypse dinner party that's about to be interrupted by the arrival of feral half-human beings intent on eating their Baileys-flavoured livers?

Baileys
"Hazelnut"
20s
3 Nov 2010
When her friends are struggling to crack open some hazelnuts, a hostess is happy to present them with hazelnut-flavoured Baileys. Strangely this ad includes a super reading 'does not contain nuts' which makes you wonder how the flavouring is created.

Baileys
"Dinner"
30s
4 Oct 2010
When some diners are unable to get the attention of the waiter, they chance across an unusual method. One of them shakes their glass of ice and the waiter gives them an immediate refill. They all start doing and begin to get exemplary service... and some bodily emissions in their soup, we'd venture to guess.

Baileys
"Birthday Candle"
30s
4 Oct 2010
When a birthday cake is dropped just as the candles are being blown out, the perfect hostess knows just what to do... drench pieces of the busted cake with the advertised liquor and dish it out. It looks like a clever way out of a tricky situation and might even make the sickly sweet drink half-palatable.

Baileys
"Desperate Houswives Sponsorship"
45s
27 Jan 2010
A disappointing series of bumpers advertising the sponsorship by Baileys of Channel 4's Desperate Housewives. Merely adding supers to stock footage of the product suggests someone didn't get their homework done on time. Must try harder.

Baileys
"Treat Yourself Tonight"
20s
22 Oct 2009
Ray Charles's version of Night & Day lights up this ad for Baileys. As in the previous ad, a close-up of a woman's lips dominates the visuals as she sings along with Charles. DAVID might not buy any of the sickly sweet booze but he's definitely downloading that track.

Baileys
"Coffee"
20s
14 Oct 2009
A close up of a woman's lips as she sings along with a crooner is combined with shots of the sickly sweet liqueur on ice. Baileys is really just an alcopop for the middle classes and it'll be the cause of many a teenage hangover in Surrey this Christmas.

Baileys
"Mint Chocolate"
10s
10 Dec 2008
For many, Christmas is a rare opportunity to dust off the bottles at the back of the drinks cabinet and send ourselves to peaceful oblivion while the rest of the family argues over the remote control. Some will be drawn to the sickly sweet temptation of Baileys... here, offset by a dash of mint, what ho.

Baileys
"Films On Four Sponsorship"
75s
3 Dec 2008
A variety of film genres are accurately spoofed in this attractive series of bumpers advertising the sponsorship of FilmFour by Baileys. A lot of care and attention has gone into the making of these... so much so that the raising of the glass is pleasantly understated each time it comes.

Baileys
"Listen To Your Lips"
40s
21 Oct 2008
The fun of Baileys is captured in this stylish ad that shows drops of the drink landing on pairs of lips as they are fall. The sight of the disconnected mouths could have been quite disconcerting but clever work all round has ensured that it's an attractive image.

Baileys
"Mint Chocolate"

Here we go again with the Product Of The Year nonsense... check out their Website sometime, you'll soon see what a spurious claim it is. Anyhow, Baileys has stumped up the required cash and 'won' one of the uncoveted awards.
