"Are You Looking for Action?"

UK Promos

Kasabian sound like a band whose team won the Premier League last season. Even if Leicester Cityís title defence hasnít gone according to plan, no one can blame Tom Meighan and Serge Pizzorno for still being in a party mood with ĎAre You Looking for Action?í

One canít accuse Partizan's Sing J. Lee of shirking a challenge, either. The disco-infused track is one of Kasabianís longest to date, but Lee and co-director Aitor Throup hold our attention with a live glitterball rave captured in one continuous shot.

Like a reveller trying to find friends in a crowd, the camera brushes past an eclectic array of guests - giving Messrs Meighan and Pizzorno just enough time to complete their myriad costume changes. A handful of glances to camera aside, itís a seamless piece of bacchanalian escapism.

There's an awful lot of fun going on in this promo for Kasabian. Noel Fielding and Stephen Graham guest as the alter egos of two band members in a film which references some familiar films including 'One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest' and a piece of Marx Brothers brilliance as well as a coy nod to Kasabian's 2009 album 'West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum'.

Kasabian's tale of psychopath Stevie, features a video of a baby grown in a lab reminiscent of the eerie black room in Under the Skin. We leap forward in time to see him at the age of ten being put through various experiments by menacing men in gas masks who seem to be attempting to stop him responding to pain. But young Stevie has other plans.
