Mr and Mrs Bair fly again in this lovely Heathrow Airport film. The two-minute ad charts the furry couple’s fifty-year romance. Time flies when you’re in love, eh? As the Bair family grows, so does Heathrow.

Scored by Petula Clark’s ‘Couldn’t Live Without Your Love’, it’s another towering achievement from Outsider’s DOM&NIC. Credit once again to The Mill’s animators - these teddies emote better than many human actors.

There’s plenty of time-hopping attention to detail, too. British Overseas Airways Corporation becomes British Airways, while fashion trends come and go. We like the family’s Britpop phase, in particular.

Like 2016’s outing, Heathrow encourage togetherness rather than a specific product. Airports have always been an odd sell, but this is canny brand awareness. A worthy challenger to this year’s other ursine blockbuster.

'Star Wars' actor John Boyega encourages wonderers to keep, well, wondering in this latest Heathrow Airport film. Given Boyega's spacefaring credentials, he's an apt choice to deliver a lofty script. While this lacks the cuddly pathos of Heathrow's Christmas commercial, it's an earnest paean to travel - and much of it has been beautifully captured.

It's fair to say not everyone will embrace Heathrow's Christmas cheer... particularly those living on the site of the airport's planned third runway. The issue will remain divisive into the New Year and beyond, but the airport's festive ad is a cuddly gem. Teddy bears won’t be enough to sway the anti-runway brigade, but their message of bringing families together with ease should travel well.

This charming celebration of Heathrow Airport's first seventy years featuring an early David Bowie song concentrates on a young girl's first experience of Britain's busiest transport hub. Luckily for her, it looks as though she must have arrived a few minutes after a major security alert as she and her family appear to have the place to themselves!
