This calm ad for Blue Cross shows us a montage of cute animals in an effort to persuade us to contribute some cash towards their care. It's a very relaxed effort, as Pam Ferris narrates what different pets mean to their owners and explains how leaving a charitable donation in our will can help keep them healthy. Not groundbreaking, but sure to appeal to the target market.

Blue Cross discuss what pets really mean to people in this touching ad. The charity shows animals as not merely pets to be kept, but motivators, friends, and helpers in times of need. One fluffy pup even functions as an ice breaker, helping his shy owner make new friends. This ad manages to be sweet without getting overly sugary - animal lovers are sure to feel a tug on the heartstrings.

A trusting dog who is no longer in the first flush of youth gazes serenely out of a car window as he's ferried along on a journey. When his owner stops, the dog climbs out... only to be left by a pile of junk at the roadside as the man drives off. There's no need for a VO here as we all understand what's happened, and what we can do to help.

A scruffy mutt escapes the tyranny of his evil owners and wanders the night-time streets; his mournful eyes casting about for signs of a source of kindness. As he pads along in his loneliness, staring in through the windows of homes where dogs co-exist happily with their humans, he begins to croon a version of 'I Will Survive' in defiance.
