Bathroom etiquette doesn’t figure in Kevin Bacon’s tireless EE promotional tour. Emerging cobra-like from a basket, Bacon interrupts Bob’s soak with a loofah massage and 100GB of mobile data. Emboldened by the network’s Apple partnership, Bob heads straight for his local store while a strategically-placed towel keeps things family-friendly.

This ad for EE sees a selection of slebs discussing their passion for music. Whether singing into hairbrushes, making sweet love to music, or declaring their undying affection for Nicki Minaj, all their audiophile needs can be served by the free six month subscription to Apple Music that EE gifts to their customers. That ought to help pass the time in the mysterious blue void they're trapped in.

Kevin Bacon adds airline steward to his CV in this latest EE commercial. The ever-ebullient Bacon upgrades select passengers to “EE class” - chucking in a free six-month subscription to Apple Music for good measure. While they get used to the high life, Bacon plays Tom Jones, Little Mix, and Storm… zy.

Forget 2G, 3G, and even Honey G: 4G is where it's at. Or so Kevin Bacon informs us in another instalment of his oddly tolerable shtick for EE. The network are providing coverage in ever-more remote places, illustrated by Kevin and a cheery engineer going on a quest to the furthest reaches of the UK. Caravan holiday, far-flung festival, or tucker trial - EE have you covered.

For those with very particular tastes, the sight of Kevin Bacon in a red catsuit should provide ample entertainment. The EE spokesman reminds us he's game for anything as he struts his stuff promoting the network's partnership with Apple Music. Meanwhile, Britney Spears makes a cameo appearance as her comeback PR machine rolls on - though Bacon's ongoing fascination with her wardrobe is a distracting issue.

You can't fault Kevin Bacon's enthusiasm in his EE ads but that can leave them feeling a bit effortful and this two-hander with Rio Ferdinand looks like it was a bit more fun to make than it is to watch. The inserts look like they were drawn from elsewhere and even the proposition isn't all that... a free BT Sport for half-a-season, you say! What happens then?

Not even Kevin Bacon and Rio Ferdinand are safe from a working lunch as the pair are forced to put their chow down and report on EE's partnership with BT Sport. Existing footage of Sam Allardyce and Claudio Ranieri helps provide 'instant' reaction to the network's match day coverage, while a hungry Rio lets his stomach overrule his punditry obligations.

The latest addition to Adland's growing army of mascot robots (should us flesh-based types start getting worried?) comes in the form of EE'S SIMOTRON 3000. Packing enough tech to give Iron Man a run for his money, the SIM card demonstrates its supersonic manoeuvres while Kevin Bacon's VO assures us that EE have the means to transform phone performance in style.

"Stephen Fry"

A rather subdued Stephen Fry is the latest to be put on the spot and dumbfounded by the generous offering from EE. As Kevin quizzes him, he leafs through a dictionary and grasps feebly for a word - any word - that will express his amazement. Unable to find anything suitable in English or even Latin, he makes up a half-hearted term that fools nobody.

In a change of pace, Kevin Bacon takes a break from espousing EE's network on the nation's streets by doing it on his own game show. His first guest is Countdown co-host Rachel Riley, and she's tasked with calculating why anyone would consider passing on EE's speedy broadband. Despite some complex board work, she's stumped by this particular numbers round.

"What a difference a push of the Wi-Fi button makes", as Dinah Washington once sang. Oh, wait, we may have got that wrong. Regardless, it's what EE believe can transform a car journey from tumultuous to tranquil in next to no time. The network's in-car functionality suggests everyone can enjoy their own little worlds and keep the decibels to a comfortable level.

Nowadays it's not enough to upload a clip of your cat falling off the telly if you want to be seen as socially relevant. A child's curiosity can sometimes cause a blushed face or two, but surely it's a bit much to suppress it altogether as this EE ad suggests? Before this youngster has a chance to ask his question, this Father of the Year candidate shoves a tablet for kids in his face. We hate to be awkward, but this just raises further questions in the space of 10".

Kevin Bacon goes on one of his signature treks across the capital in order to celebrate more people being connected to EE than ever before. He compliments various punters on their use of 4G before arriving on the pitch at Wembley Stadium. He sure gets around, doesn't he? Regular cinemagoers over the years may have mixed feelings about the man, but you can't argue with Kevin Bacon's energy reserves.

The ever-affable Kevin Bacon continues his tireless travels across the land to persuade others to join the mobile network. He explains to everyone from bearded lighthouse keeper to disbelieving passenger how EE customers can make calls and send text messages from any WiFi location. The proposition is put across clearly and with enthusiasm, and we hope the lighthouse odd couple shared a nice cup of tea.

As the dust settles on a momentous night in British politics with three party leaders (Miliband, Clegg and Farage) throwing in the towel before all the votes have even been counted, have a bit of fun with this brilliant viral for EE which purportedly shows the party leaders letting off a bit of stream after one of the televised debates.

Kevin Bacon's voice helps to connect this to the main branding work but there's not much to see here. Literally. He reveals that using one of the two latest phones from Samsung on EE's 4G network is "like strapping a jet-pack to a jaguar". We're not sure if he means the big cat or the car but - either way - that wouldn't end well.

It may have seemed like a good idea to engage with the Goggleboxers, but this is a little awkward. We suspect Chris and Stephen were starstruck into near paralysis by the presence of Kevin Bacon, although the man himself gamely plays his part with trademark poise. One thing, though - we hope our hairdressers got permission from Channel 4 before taking part... it would be a tragedy to lose one of the programme's most entertaining households.

EE compares itself to a turbocharged rabbit speeding round a greyhound stadium with all the other broadband providers desperately trying to keep up as if they were indeed hounds in a race. Kevin Bacon tries to persuade the zombified users of other networks that it's time to make a change in the latest instalment of the mobile phone network's ongoing campaign. Kevin Bacon wander through a wedding reception playing a cheerful blokey version of himself. The original premise of this campaign is long gone (six degrees of Kevin, if you recall) but they've been left with an extremely personable front man who delivers his lines with exactly the right combination of enthusiasm and bafflement so all's well.

We're a bit behind the curve with the latest of the EE cinema films but here's the first in the series exploiting popular internet memes. It's beautifully done with a fantastic contrast between the tense build-up and the comic pay-off but we're not sure it means a great deal to people who aren't big social media users.

EE
"Screaming Goats"

20 Jun 2014
EE tells us that the internet feels more Hollywood when experienced via them; more, well, epic. And in this spot, a popular viral of a screaming goat is given the full Bates Motel treatment to demonstrate exactly what they mean. The tension builds pretty well, and you can imagine that viewed on a cinema screen you'd be thinking it was an actual trailer and bracing yourself for some terrible revelation. Beautifully executed but - as with the last one - we have to question whether the original clip is well-known enough to merit this treatment.

EE
"Roller Coaster"
30s
19 May 2014
In this ad for EE's 4G network, Kevin Bacon experiences a similar G-force by watching the highs and lows of the World Cup on his phone... on a roller coaster. In Blackpool. Quite how he intends to do this is anybody's guess, as it's enough to try and stop your eyeballs swivelling in their sockets let alone keep them fixed on a tiny screen when you're hurtling towards the ground on The Big One, but we suspect no-one's really going to worry about it.

EE
"Fishing"
30s
24 Mar 2014
Not one of the better Bacon ads, but still effective as we absorb the fact that even while he's ostensibly fishing for, well, fish - he's still able to catch all the news and entertainment he wants thanks to EE's 4G coverage. So no one needs to use their leisure time to contemplate the universe and ponder the mysteries of life. Instead, they can watch Noah and the Whale on a tiny screen and ponder what the point of them is.
