"Proper Porridge Contest"

15 November 2017
UK Honeys

The Rowse boys ride again - one last hurrah from the Three Bears to wrap up a successful campaign. This time a woodsy version of Bake-Off is on the cards, as the lads compete to find the best porridge recipe. Rolled, steel cut, or Scottish, the oats are all in there along with a generous helping of self-aware humour - and lashings of honey, naturally.

The Three Bears return to cook up some more inventive oats for Rowse honey. The hosts' dynamic remains as compelling as ever, and this episode's shenanigans include attempted yoga, caramelised bananas, and a lot of good natured ribbing. Reaction to the series on social media has been overwhelmingly positive - charming work from director Chris Goulder.

Rowse update a familiar fairy tale for the modern world in their latest ad campaign. The brand have created an upbeat online cooking series to tempt viewers into putting more honey on their porridge, and 'The Three Bears' stars, as you may expect, three bears - although possibly not the bears you're thinking of...

This ad cleverly reveals that far from endangering bees when we steal their honey, we're actually boosting their activity and helping the little blighters germinate our crops. At a time when bee populations are frequently subjected to catastrophic falls, it's an astute pitch. It's been amusingly done too with lots of human nakedness acting as a cipher for the natural goodness.

A little boy is helped through his busy day by the energy provided by the advertised product. A huge improvement on the advertising generated by a contest that had Rowse's staff last year... making the real message here: leave it to the professionals.

This homemade ad concentrates on what the workers at Rowse can't do as a way of emphasising what they can do. In a brilliant post-modern twist, they also demonstrate that they can't make television ads either... though we're not sure this was necessarily what they had in mind.

This commercial reveals that the staff of Rowse honey have been involved in a competition to create the company's new television ad. It seems that the factory is at a standstill with everyone distracted by this task.
