RSA ADDS JADE ANG JACKMAN
15 September 2021

RSA have added Jade Ang Jackman to their roster for UK and EU representation.

Having emerged with a powerfully female focus to her work, Jackman is best known for her interviews with such progressive public figures as Nadya of Russian pop anarchists Pussy Riot and professional stuntwoman and knife thrower Ayesha Hussain. Now, she turns her attention to the commercial world with RSA's support.

Her first foray into the realm of advertising - a spot for tofu brand Tofoo starring Solomon Golding, the first Black British-born dancer to join the Royal Ballet - demonstrates the filmmaker's knack for drawing lively performances from her cast. Jackman's work aims to champion individuality and uniqueness in all its forms, and her first commercial serves as a calling card for this ethos.

Her inquisitiveness and eagerness to learn everything about her subjects, the way they move and therefore how they react on camera, is a unique and fantastic approach to her craft.

 ”

With her films having been screened at the British Film Institute, the Victoria & Albert, the Milan Fashion Film Festival, and beyond, RSA are excited to aid Jackman in developing her commercial career further.

"I'm obsessed by Jade, such a talented, passionate, young director at the beginning of a fantastic career," explains Mia Powell, New Business Director at RSA. "Her inquisitiveness and eagerness to learn everything about her subjects, the way they move and therefore how they react on camera is a unique and fantastic approach to her craft; we've coined the term 'Method Director' for her. Authenticity is at the heart of everything she does, paying acute attention to detail to create compelling and exciting films."
