As first comic book pitches go, Ben Canny's is a doozy. "It's a David Cronenberg-esque body horror about an alt-right/incel-adjacent delusional sociopath that thinks he is being controlled by an alien." The things editors do to relax, eh?

"It's a kinda B-movie deep dive into toxic masculinity," Canny says. "This provides an important creative balance to my commercial work!" He's obviously got the balance just right, as the Canadian editor has joined Whitehouse Post in London.

Their partner and head of brand Joni Williamson says: "I was immediately drawn to Ben's work. His unique and playful editing style stood out and made me want more! I can't wait to see what he does next."

So, what does the man himself think of his new home? "Whitehouse is one of the best edit houses in the world for commercials! The work is, of course, always top-notch. Everyone I have met has been so nice and genuine, and for me, that is more than half the battle. This is a place I want to work."
