DIRECTORS OF PHOTOGRAPHY Are you one of the best twenty-five cinematographers working in advertising? You are? Then you should be on this list.
Argentine comedy director Camila Zapiola has joined Stink for representation in the US, Brazil, Asia, and the Czech Republic.
A quick glance at her reel shows why Stink were keen to bring Zapiola on board, with a host of commercials that deliver laughs, striking visuals, and droll performances.
One example is her Experian Boost ad from 2020, which evokes the likes of '2001: A Space Odyssey' and 'First Man' when she ostenisbly sends a bloke into the wild blue yonder. However, the reality is more, erm, filling than thrilling.
Such work leads Stink founder Daniel Bergmann to say: "Camila has a unique perspective in the comedy world and her gift for working with talent is something to behold. She challenges so many of the ad world's tired assumptions about women and comedy. We are delighted to have the opportunity to work with her."
Buenos Aires-based Zapiola is similarly effusive: "I am thrilled to be joining Stink and becoming a part of their community of fellow filmmakers. Stink is superlative in every way, creatively as well as in terms of its global reach. I'm so happy to have them in my corner."
