Asif Kapadia, director of 'Senna', 'Amy', and 'Diego Maradona', changes tack and heads into contemporary dance territory with his new film. Based on the English National Ballet production of the same name, 'Creature' sees Jeffrey Cirio's animalistic protagonist subjected to military experiments—the absolute worst kind of experiments.

Cut from the same wet cloth as 'The Shape of Water', the narrative then introduces Marie (Erina Takahashi), a cleaner who forms an indelible bond with Creature in this Arctic outpost. Kapadia works with show creator and choreographer Akram Khan to ensure a respectful adaptation, but it's clear that the Pulse Films man also has a few tricks up his sleeves.
