TWELVE YEARS OF JOHN LEWIS AT CHRISTMAS WITH ANTHONY MOORE.

When we sat down with Anthony Moore of Factory Studios in November 2022 to ask him about his involvement in twelve years of John Lewis Christmas commercials, neither he nor DAVID knew that it was the end of an era.

The decision by John Lewis to call a review, and adam&eveDDB's decision not to participate in that review means that 2022's 'The Beginner' would be last of these highly successful collaborations.

Some of the finest talent in the UK have contributed to the run of John Lewis Christmas commercials that started with 'The Long Wait', but, to the best of our knowledge, only Anthony Moore of Factory Studios has played a part in each and every one.

With sound and music playing a central role in this campaign, the contribution made by Anthony, usually in tandem with Leland Music, was pivotal in its success, and his perspective, as you will hear, provides a fascinating insight into one of the greatest advertising campaigns of all time.
