JULIEN & QUENTIN JOIN HAMLET
30 March 2020

French directing duo Julien & Quentin have joined HAMLET for representation in Belgium, the Netherlands, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East.

Messieurs Martorell and Garabedian are perhaps best known for their 2019 Puma commercial ‘The Flow’, which demonstrates their ability to wrangle big names and deliver colourful, irreverent visuals.

As the likes of Antoine Griezmann, Sergio Agüero, and Mario Balotelli do their thing, Julien & Quentin pepper the screen with Pop Art-style graphics and loud patterns. In this scenario, conservative dressers need not apply.

These guys are exactly what we look for when signing new talent... and they have this rare ability to define very clearly what they have in mind.

 ”

Such bravado also permeates this Dior commercial, which puts the label’s signature saddle bag front and centre against a collage backdrop. Like Puma before it, Julien & Quentin’s zest for pop culture imagery is clear for anyone to see.

Jason Felstead for one had his eyes peeled, and the HAMLET co-founder and executive producer says: “These guys are exactly what we look for when signing new talent.

"As producers, we found their qualities of working with such a broad range of skills very exciting, and they have this rare ability to define very clearly what they have in mind."

We started working on a project together, and very quickly felt comfortable, supported, and on the same page with the rest of the HAMLET team.”

 ”

According to Julien Martorell, the decision to join HAMLET was equally clear-cut: "Before meeting HAMLET, we were already very aware of the roster of directors they represented - they did a lot of projects on our Vimeo ‘Like’ list!

"We started working on a project together, and very quickly felt comfortable, supported, and on the same page with the rest of the team.” Sounds like a good start to us.
