A ROGUE'S SALARY FOR KATE TAYLOR.
9 October 2019

Kate Taylor has been handed the reins at Rogue Films where she will combine the roles of Managing Director and Executive Producer.

She arrives after a successful spell at Skunk London which she founded a few years ago. Prior to that she had spells at Rattling Stick, Biscuit and RSA, where she established a fantastic reputation and became one of the most admired figures in the London industry.

Taylor will be working alongside Executive Producer and Head of Production James Howland, and together they are aiming to continue the evolution of a company moving confidently into its third decade. It's a canny appointment as – despite its success – Rogue is quite a traditional outfit and it's bound to benefit from a fresh perspective at the top of its hierarchy.

I’m excited about the future and share their vision for growing and enduring success.

 ”

Rogue's decision to join forces with Blink earlier in the year was one of the big surprises of 2019, and the acquisition of Kate Taylor is a further illustration of the company's ambition.

Charlie Crompton – Rogue's charismatic co-founder - is as pleased as you might expect with this development: "Kate is widely regarded as one of the smartest and most creative EPs in London. She deserves that reputation because she's proved that she's brilliant at finding and nurturing talent, is immersed in the craft of filmmaking and is also an endlessly creative and collaborative producer."

Kate Taylor herself says of her arrival: "To be MD at such a prestigious production house as Rogue is just brilliant. I'm excited about the future and share their vision for growing and enduring success. I look forward to building on Rogue's pedigree as a primary destination for excellence and established, top-level directors, as well as a nurturing home for the new generation of raw, emerging talent."

Taylor's arrival certainly appears to demonstrate Rogue's commitment to sustaining a distinctive identity from its new stablemate, and sends a very positive signal about its future intent. We look forward to witnessing the fruits of this new collaboration.

Let Kate know what you think of her arrival at Rogue by contacting her direct at her new email address which is katetaylor@roguefilms.co.uk or by phoning on 020 3978 7688.
