Matt Carter, who has joined the roster at Another Film Company, is highly skilled at coaxing excellent comedy performances from his actors. Carter is a graduate of the excellent 'director factory' a 4 Creative, having joined Channel 4 in 2000 and learning his craft in a variety of roles, before getting the opportunity to direct.
Matt Carter's most recent work showcases his ability to maximise the humour in amusing scripts, as in this Irish commercial for Allianz which depicts the series of unfortunate events which might have befallen a woman if she wasn't attached to the advertised car recovery insurance service.
He has executed some lovely bits of slapstick, but it's very warmly done, and this ensures we are laughing with rather than at the unfortunate young woman at the centre of a very bad day.
In the Barclaycard ad below there is less humour to work with, but Carter ensures the audience's attention is fully focused on the key proposition, and delivers a charming 'old school' commercial.
Samantha Jayne and Arturo Perez Jr, directors of the recent 'Mean Girls' reboot, have graduated from North Shore High School and enrolled at Park Pictures.
