Director and performance artist Theo Adams is pleased to call PrettyBird "home" after joining their Collaborators roster.
As founder of his own performance company, Londoner Adams juggles stage productions, live events, and experimental films - just the kind of multidisciplinary flair PrettyBird's bespoke wing caters for.
PrettyBird co-founder and executive producer Juliette Larthe says she is "truly delighted" to bring Adams on board, calling him "one of the most exciting auteurs of creative direction alive" and praising his ability to "bring audiences to their knees in worship."
Adams neither confirms nor denies this bold claim, but he does thank PrettyBird for endorsing his craft, saying: "The work I create is not the most definable, but for the team to put their trust, expertise, and support into my process and help foster my ideas is invaluable."
As luck would have it, Adams's arrival coincides with the release of his latest short film - a celebration of pregnancy set in what the director calls "a 1983 Tasmanian public access TV talent show." Where Adams goes from here is anyone's guess, but you can guarantee PrettyBird are excited.
