PARK PICTURES MEAN BUSINESS WITH SAMANTHA & ARTURO.

Samantha Jayne and Arturo Perez Jr, directors of the recent 'Mean Girls' reboot, have graduated from North Shore High School and enrolled at Park Pictures. The musical comedy made over $100 million on a $36 million budget, so Jayne and Perez Jr had every reason to be tickled pink.

They are just as pleased to join Park Pictures, a company that the husband and wife team have oodles of respect for: "We have always admired the work coming out of there and have always been huge fans of Lance Acord and Emmanuel Lubezki. Come on! 'Being John Malkovich' and 'Misunderstood' for Apple on the one hand and a certified true Mexican hero on the other! We are thrilled and humbled to join the incredible roster of filmmakers at Park!"


Park, in turn, got a kick out of Jayne and Perez Jr's breakout work. Co-founder Jackie Kelman Bisbee says: "After first seeing 'Quarter Life Poetry,' everyone here became enamoured with Sam and Art. "Take a beat and circle back" became our company motto for years.

"Their ability to thrive and be so well-versed in nearly every filmmaking medium comes from their innate curiosity and desire to learn and try something new," adds Kelman Bisbee. "We're excited to have them on board at Park Pictures. We can’t wait to see what they make next."
