MOIRAI EMBRACE ALBA ROLAND MEJIA.

Director, writer, and producer Alba Roland Mejia has joined MOIRAI for global representation. Based in Oakland, California, Mejia made a splash in 2021 with 'Blackness is Everything', a film about the diversity of the Black diaspora in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Her experimental short made Vimeo's Best of 2021 list, which made the Oakland talent even more determined to share underrepresented stories. Now, with MOIRAI's support, Meija is ready to kick her career up a notch.

"I'm honoured to join the high calibre of talent at MOIRAI," she says, "and grateful to have found a space to continue highlighting stories that go untold, stories that build community, and stories of impact. MOIRAI's intimate approach to storytelling aligns perfectly with my goal as a filmmaker: building connection."
