COLE WEBLEY JOINS CURATE FILMS.

Cole Webley knows all about hard work. Born into a family of farmers in rural Washington, young Webley ran his own paper route and raised pigs to compete at the county fair. He also watched a lot of films in his spare time, sowing the seeds for life behind the camera.

After graduating from film school, Webley launched himself into commercials and short films, and he's been happy as a pig in mud ever since. Madeleine Sanderson and Dan Dickenson at Curate Films also have smiles on their faces, as they've signed Webley for UK representation.



They were impressed by his ability to handle scripts with a strong dramatic component. This command of tone is evident in a Cheerios commercial from 2016, wherein a young woman's parents meet her girlfriend for the first time. Mum accepts the couple straight away, but dad is not so sure.

We know he's going to come round, but that predictability doesn't take anything away from the sweetness when he does so. Sensibly enough, the advertised biscuit plays a minor role in this domestic drama, but it's there thanks to Webley's tactful direction.
