EWAN FLETCHER SIGNS WITH JOHNNY FOREIGNER.

Director Ewan Fletcher says "now feels like the right time" to go freelance as he signs with Johnny Foreigner. The Edinburgh-based talent cut his teeth in-house at places like MadeBrave, The&Partnership, and BBC Scotland, with an accomplished reel to show for it.

A grateful Fletcher says: "I had the opportunity to begin my filmmaking career in-house at some very ambitious agencies, developing my craft working alongside some highly experienced producers and creative team." Johnny Foreigner's own dynamic duo, Olivia Hirschberg and Karen James, gave him the confidence to go freelance.

So how did Hirschberg learn about Fletcher in the first place? "Ewan was recommended to me by a fellow executive producer whose judgement is impeccable. So when he got in touch it was a case of, "Yeah let's do this"".



James, meanwhile, is keen to make Flecther's freelance journey as smooth and rewarding as possible: "Supporting directors in the direction they want to travel is part of what we do as agents. With such a pedigree in character-driven narratives, Ewan is on a clear path to success in filmmaking."
