MATHERY ARE GRANTED IMMIGRANT STATUS.
18 June 2024

When Italian product designers Erika Zorzi and Matteo Sangalli moved to Melbourne, Australia in 2013, they never expected a range of homeware inspired by fruit peels to go on permanent display at the National Gallery of Victoria.

'Fruit Wares' (once known as 'Fruit Ninja') put Zorzi and Sangalli on the map, but they arrived as director duo Mathery. After what they describe as "eight intense years living and working in the United States", Mathery have joined IMMIGRANT for representation in the UK and the Benelux (Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg).

"We are migrating back to Europe and are off to a great start of this new chapter," Mathery say. "We are so thrilled to be in such good company—we cannot wait to make badass work with the IMMIGRANT family!"

And what do families like to do? That's right—go on holiday. UK MD Miles Nathan explains: "They have a huge following and uniquely distinctive outlook on the world: a world you want to take a vacation in; where the sun always shines, everyone looks incredible, and scandalous adventure is around the corner."

They have such a high calibre of work and live in the land of crafted world-building, but always with that weird and wonderful humour at its core.

 ”

Nathan adds: "Erika and Matteo are the next stage in Immigrants evolution to bring fun, style, and a naughty streak to the UK commercials scene. We can't wait to dive in."

Co-founder Phie Hansen is equally effusive: "Mathery have been with us since the start for our founding markets in Scandinavia and Brazil, but expanding the representation into the creative hub of Europe is something which we're very excited for. They have such a high calibre of work and live in the land of crafted world-building, but always with that weird and wonderful humour at its core."
