Third-generation filmmaker Aisha Schliessler has joined You Are Here for commercial representation in the UK. The daughter of a cinematographer and granddaughter of a documentarian, Schliessler might as well have been born with a camera in her hand.

After graduating from the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute in 2007, Schliessler appeared in a handful of movies and TV shows before the desire to write and direct her own projects took hold. Now she's a regular at film festivals around the world, with a debut feature in the works for good measure.



Impressed by Schliessler's "clear, understated pedigree" and her "obvious aptitude for capturing nuanced performances", You Are Here reckon she has a bright future in commercials and music videos too. Early efforts for Peloton and Liza Owen suggest their confidence is well-placed.

In the meantime, check out Schliesser's 2019 short film 'Rhinestone Blue' for a taste of bittersweet Americana. James C Burns (who gamers may recognise as the voice of Frank Woods from 'Call of Duty: Black Ops') plays a cowboy ready for one last dance, whether it's for a sell-out crowd or a kindred spirit.
