A NEW START FOR LUC RĖSO JANIN AT JOHNNY FOREIGNER.

Director Luc 'Rėso' Janin says "good vibes have always led me to good things". When he met Johnny Foreigner's Olivia Hirschberg and Anna Allgrove, his gut instinct approved big time.

The Frenchman adds: "I'm looking forward to embarking on this new journey with Olivia and Anna, so watch this space, sit back, and relax!" If only the protagonist of Janin's very funny and very short film 'Toilet Break' could do the same.

A security guard discovers that he's been caught short when his gut starts to rumble. Desperate times lead to desperate measures, so he disappears into the building for which he is responsible and, with enormous relief, finds a toilet. His plight can be guessed, but that does little to diminish the hilarity.


Such work leads a chuffed Hirschberg to say: "'Luc's creative flair is infectious. Nothing is impossible and watching him immerse himself in a brief, you just know that it's going be a unique and inspiring end result!"

One of those rousing outcomes is 2022's 'The Friendship Festival' for Lego. Children with disabilities play alongside those without, and all share the same joie de vivre. It's clear from the naturalness of the performances that Janin gave the children free rein, and then kept interference to a minimum. He goes on to ensure Lego's progressive attitude feels genuine.
