THE BOBBSEY TWINS FROM HOMICIDE JOIN ARTS & SCIENCES.
16 June 2022

Freddy Mandy and Tim McNaughton (aka The Bobbsey Twins) joined Arts & Sciences in October 2021 with little fanfare. Not because the company were ashamed of their new arrivals, far from it—they just wanted to introduce Mandy and McNaughton in style.

Enter American illustrator and artist Steve Chorney, who created movie posters for Bullitt, Labyrinth, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, among other titles. Presented with the Twins' extensive showreel, Chorney made a poster crammed with their characters and visual gags.

It's an experience that executive producer James Bland will never forget: "Working with Steve was like working with an Old Master... an Old Master who specialises in explosions. So much of The Bobbsey Twins' work stands out for its memorable characters and its cinematic aesthetic."

Yeah, it kinda looks like us, I guess.

 ”

"Steve's artwork brilliantly captures those elements as well as the Twins' sense of humour," Bland says, "and it felt like a really unique way to welcome them to the Arts & Sciences family." The poster now graces walls and agency desks across London, though anyone can request a copy from Bland or Elise Jeanrenaud.

The former adds: "We're delighted to have Tim and Freddy on the London roster, and we're looking forward to adding even more iconic characters to their already impressive menagerie. Some of which you will see very soon."

Hard at it since they joined last autumn, it's the first time Mandy and McNaughton have clapped eyes on their own movie poster. So, what's the verdict? "Yeah, it kinda looks like us." We're sure Chorney will be delighted to hear it!
