What can we expect from her promo work? Emma has a background in fashion, dance, and choreography, which has given her an enviable eye for capturing movement. Check out this promo for Alpine's 'Gasoline' to get a feel for the deft handling of choregraphy she's known for - the intimate portraits of individual dancers' different body parts are particularly striking.
Vivid stuff. Is dance her main focus? While choreography and graphic composition are Emma's major passions, she's also dabbled successfully in narrative work.
Her promo for Elizabeth Rose's 'Division' (presented by Red Bull), for example, contains no choreographed element. The narrative about love and acceptance (or lack of) is handled with care but without kid gloves - a fine line for any director to walk when dealing with emotional, potentially controversial topics.
On a lighter note, Emma's also channelled her creative talents into commercial work, both in and outside of Australia. Her cheerful ad for the Happy Egg company combines her sense of movement with an astutely-chosen soundtrack - Frank Wilson's legendary Motown single 'Do I Love You (Indeed I Do)' - and creates a film sure to bring a smile to anyone's morning.
