TV KLAXON: INSIDE NO. 9

'Wise Owl' is unlike any episode of Inside No. 9 so far. Co-directed by Louise Hooper and Blink's Sam O'Leary, it's a live-action animated film inspired by public service announcements from the 1970s. Those traumatised by the likes of Charley the Cat and Tufty the Squirrel have been warned.

Even if his work gives viewers nightmares, O'Leary is proud of his time on the show: "Working with Louise was an utter delight. Always upbeat and steady, she steered us all in the right direction. I know she's also a huge fan of Reece Shearsmith and Steve Pemberton, so it just felt like we were giddy kids in a fan club."

Blink Industries EP James Stevenson Bretton is equally chuffed at the opportunity: "We're huge fans of Inside No. 9 so this was a dream project. Sam O'Leary is a wizard of the Blink family and we knew he’d chime creatively with the Inside No. 9 team. We're so honoured that Steve and Reece trusted us to accompany them on their first foray into animation".
