IMOGEN HARRISON CONSPIRES WITH MY ACCOMPLICE.

Rising talent Imogen Harrison has joined My Accomplice for commercial representation. If Harrison's name sounds familiar, it's because DAVID already featured her debut ad: an NHS recruitment film that depicts the tough reality of neonatal nursing.

Harrison uses still photographs to show what neonatal nurses must tackle every day, whether it's comforting distraught parents or injecting blood through a vein "the size of a hair". It's enough to make some potential applicants think twice, but those most qualified for the role will be even more inspired.


The 90" film is a useful companion to 'If Everyone Knew', a short documentary about six women who miscarried during the coronavirus pandemic. An estimated one in four pregnancies end in miscarriage, yet, as Harrison's film demonstrates, the stigma around early pregnancy loss remains palpable.

The trailer is bathed in cool colours and the shimmer of water—an affecting means of conveying the subject matter. Harrison and DP Simon Plunket's use of light and shadow is just as effective, with the words of all six women penetrating the gloom. Expect more from Harrison and My Accomplice soon.
