FRIENDS ELECTRIC SIGN GREG BARTH.
6 February 2020

Friends Electric have signed award-winning artist and director Greg Barth to their London roster.

The Swiss-born filmmaker first caught Friends Electric's eye due to his unique visual style and incredible work ethic - something which has made him a popular figure throughout the industry.

Barth is well known for his hands-on approach to projects, and is renowned as a master of using physical effects to create intriguing, unusual visuals.

Often leaning towards surreal concepts, his work has been commissioned by brands all over the world. From music promos and commercials to art installations and design books, he's also a sought-after art director.

Such creative zeal leads executive producer Barney Richard to say: "Greg's the ideal human for Friends Electric’s culture - from his aesthetic, his energy, and his ideas, to the most wonderful array of scarves he wears. Such a perfect fit for us and what we're building towards in the very near future"

I'm really looking forward to being part of this creative playground. Get ready!

 ”

In addition to the technically impressive aspects of his reel, Barth has also garnered the viral fame to prove audiences engage with his work just as enthusiastically as others within the industry do.

His film 'Child of the 90s', for example, racked up over forty-eight million views online. The colourful, nostalgic visuals featuring slap bracelets, floppy disks, and other such retro memory-sparkers remain a hit for Gen-Yers to this day.

With such a warm welcome from his new creative home, it's no wonder Barth is looking forward to the future with equal verve. He says: "I'm excited! I love Friends Electric’s forward thinking and disruptive attitude - which is a perfect match for me - and I'm really looking forward to being part of this creative playground. Get ready!"
