The Visionaries always have a keen eye for new talent, with director and photographer Sebastian Whyte the latest to join their ranks. The Londoner is Corin West's third signing of the summer after Michael Geoghegan and Stefano & Alejandra, so what does Whyte bring to the party?
According to the Visionaries' press release, "Sebastian is committed to developing compelling and authentic narratives rich in dramatic detail and beauty". His work also "allows you to take your emotional journey", which is mighty kind of him.
Needless to say, Whyte is chuffed to have West and The Visionaries in his corner: "I am grateful to everyone at The Visionaries for taking me onboard. I am excited to see where this cinematic journey takes us and looking forward to further developing as a director. I'm keen to get out there and create beautiful stories."
He's especially proud of his work for comedy channel Dave to mark Black History Month. Whyte puts contributors like Sophie Duker, Dane Baptiste, and Ola Labib at ease, which lets them deliver knockout lines such as, "I don't like the idea that Black people are seasonal like kiwis".
Advertisers jumped for joy in 2019 when it was announced that Love Island, ITV's most cherished controversy magnet, would go from one to two series a year.
