MIKKEL BLAABJERG PLUMPS FOR MAD COW FILMS.

Mad Cow Films have signed director Mikkel Blaabjerg to their roster for UK representation. The man from northern Denmark flirted with a career as an actor, then thought: "I'd much rather be on the other side of this camera."

Such work leads head of business Emma Yardley to say: "Mikkel is an incredibly likeable person, and his charisma and expertise are felt throughout his body of work. It seems that there isn't anything he can't do, from cinematic tear-jerkers to dynamic and vibrant spots that are packed with energy."

Blaabjerg backed himself to make commercials that struck a chord with Danish viewers—ads like this 2023 spot for IKEA. Inspired by the tenets of dystopian fiction, he makes children fight for their right to play. Tired of life in a joyless concrete city, the kids—some with homemade costumes—scale IKEA's version of the Berlin Wall (no armed guards or barbed wire or here).
