Fans of David Olusoga's 'A House Through Time' have a stop-motion-animated treat in store. Nexus Studios's 'The House' is an anthology series directed by Emma de Swaef and Marc James Roels, Niki Lindroth von Bahr and Paloma Baeza, which takes place in the same building in different time periods.
Like Olusoga's BBC Two documentary, 'The House' weaves intriguing tales of impoverishment, discovery, and transformation; unlike 'A House Through Time', it features talking mice, cats, and dancing cockroaches.
A cat's eye view.
Netflix are due to release the show on 14th January 2022. Nexus Studios co-founder and series producer Charlotte Bavasso can't wait to let viewers in: "The House is a collection of cinematic stories that are intelligent, witty, inquisitive, warm and yet packed with offbeat humour. We're thrilled to have found in Netflix such a perfect home for 'The House'."
Expect a trailer to drop soon. Until then, check out this selection of stills that tease the show's tactile, lived-in atmosphere.
