DIRECTORS OF PHOTOGRAPHY Are you one of the best twenty-five cinematographers working in advertising? You are? Then you should be on this list.
Talented comedy director MAPP (or Steve Mapp, if you're not into the whole brevity thing) has joined Snapper Films for UK representation.
MAPP is perhaps best known for his superb mockumentary-style ad for Peelz Citrus, starring comedian Regan Burns as John Birk—an expert in how to peel mandarins. Alas, no-one could describe Birk as an essential worker.
This fruity farce impressed both DAVID and Snapper executive producer Helen Hadfield, who says: "MAPP is undoubtedly a one-off... a rare talent who has an infectiously original take on every story that he directs. His distinctive, bold comedic tone is impossible to ignore.
"Driven by an unrelenting love of his craft," Hadfield adds, "his films are brimming with passion and humour. He is an absolute delight as a human being, and we are feeling very lucky to have him join us at Snapper." Keep those eyes peeled for his UK debut.
