In-demand cinematographer Ryan Eddleston is the latest to join Vision's bespoke roster.
A Cardiff University graduate and all-round film buff, Eddleston currently flits between movies, TVCs, promos, television, and documentaries. Suffice it to say, Eddleston knows how to keep himself busy.
He's so far proven a lucky charm for first-time directors, too, having shot both Alice Lowe and Jessica Hynes's well-received debut features. The latter's 2019 effort 'The Fight' gave Eddleston the chance to stretch his muscles and deliver some bruising, affecting photography.
Shot in less than a fortnight, the film required both director and DP to be at the top of their game - and to quickly develop their own cinematic shorthand to boot. Luckily, fleet-footed Eddleston was able to deliver Hynes's vision of a gritty, beautifully lit drama... and earn himself a Welsh BAFTA nomination, too.
He then reunited with 'Prevenge' director Lowe for Direct Line's Halloween 2019 commercial The duo's mutual appreciation for arthouse horror is particularly evident, as harsh moonlight and off-kilter imagery permeate throughout.
