TANTRUM SIGN BETH PARK.

tantrum have added up-and-coming writer and director Beth Park to their ranks. Her debut short film, 'Fishwife', played at film festivals around the world, winning a few prizes along the way – not bad for a first try.

Her next project, 'Wild Animal', stars Romola Garai as Mallory, a woman who suffers from postpartum psychosis. The condition has inspired many articles and documentaries in recent years, and Garai cannot wait for Park's "funny, weird, and searingly moving" film to continue the conversation.



She also brings a handsome comedy reel to her new home, which tantrum's Stuart Wrigglesworth and Will Waters are keen to develop further. After all, you don’t see titles 'Fantasy Dick Pic' and 'Fitbetty' every day.

The latter stars Heida Reed as a woman coached/tortured by Fitbetty (Park), a flesh-and-blood amalgamation of weight loss infomercials. Scored by The Pointer Sisters' 'I'm So Excited', the film demonstrates Park's flair for satire and physical comedy, as well as her ability to sell a punch.
