He's greeted by MD Chris Batten, who says: "Having Ellis to be our new Senior Sound Designer really was a dream appointment. His experience speaks for itself, having worked in all elements of audio production, and his recent nominations speak to how highly his work is regarded across the industry."
Batten adds: "I know Ellis will be a wonderful addition to our powerhouse sound team. We can't wait to see what this next chapter brings for the whole company!" Before his new man gets stuck into the job at hand, let's hear from McGourlay himself. He says: "I'm super excited to be joining the team at Absolute. I think the team and facilities we have here are excellent. It will be great to work alongside Rich and Arge and to be able to draw upon their expertise, as they've both produced some iconic pieces of work. I'm looking forward to honing my craft and creating some amazing work."
As an Absolute bonus (like a Brucie bonus, but for post-production), the company have also hired Seán O'Keefe as PR and Marketing Manager. He says: "The talent they have across the board is amazing, and they've been known for having one of the best PR teams in the business for years now.
