Following this baptism of fire, he went on to study film and directing extensively and honed his craft shooting commercials, documentaries, and features. His debut feature documentary 'The Belgrade Phantom' was voted best Serbian film of 2009, and his star has only risen since.
Along with this diverse skillset, Todorovic is also well-known for his distinctive storytelling approach. His use of heightened visuals and textured grades, in addition to a studied application of sound, give his films an innately watchable and compelling quality.
Naturally, Anonymous are excited to have him join the team. UK Managing Director Tor Fitzwilliams says: "Jovan is one of the most exciting and talented directors working today. With his clear vision and compelling aesthetic, his work is inspiring to watch and always beautifully crafted. I'm so happy he has chosen Anonymous Content as his new home."
As one might expect from such a driven filmmaker, Todorovic hasn't let quarantine cramp his style.
His latest project is a joyful promo for Japanese band Vaundy, which uses dance to celebrate/expedite the eventual end of the Covid-19 pandemic. It's a sneak peek at promises to be a fruitful creative endeavour with Anonymous.
