AMBITIOUS START-UP CREATORS INC OPENS IN LONDON |
|
3 December 2021 |
|
There are a number of familiar faces at Creators Inc - an ambitious London start-up, and the presence of these personnel generates great confidence that the new company will very quickly establish itself as a force in the UK. Jani Guest is at the helm and, at a meeting at her new company's temporary HQ in Soho last week, she set out her vision for a company which aims to broaden the traditional offer of film production companies into other realms, while always keeping in mind a responsibility to act for the betterment of society. |
Jani is joined on this mission by some of her former confederates including Gary Freedman, Tony Barry, Sarah Gavron, Benito Montorio, Guy Ritchie and many others on the roster; as well as Verity White and Chris Barrett who are joint managing directors of the commercials division, and Natalie Blass who will work alongside them as Head of New Business . Together they make up a formidable team, and a tight one to boot... the relaxed vibe and laughter around the table as we talked about their hopes for the new company says a lot about a refreshingly laid-back atmosphere given the stress of starting a new company in the midst of a pandemic.
1. TV & Film
Creators Inc will have three inter-connected divisions, and, excitingly, for the founding crew, one of these will be film and television. The President of this division is Debbie Mason, who founded Kudos Productions - the company behind hit series 'Hustle' and 'Spooks'. Jamie Jessop, who will work alongside Debbie, was previously at Ingenious Media where he was responsible for a number of high profile projects. |
“ |
In our purest form, we are here to support our talent in telling authentic human stories, be it in advertising or long form. |
” |
|
2. Commercials
Verity, Chris and Natalie will run the commercials division, and with years of experience between them, and a first rate roster at their disposal, they will be certain to be in contention for advertising jobs big and small.
3. Documentary & Audio
This division will be headed by Gloria Abramoff who was formerly managing director of the BBC's Children In Need, and has more than twenty years of experience working with the broadcaster. Wendy Robins will work alongside Gloria, bringing with her a wealth of experience, including - vitally - time spend both in television and radio. |
“ |
On a personal note, it’s always been incredibly important to me to create con-tent that can inform and uplift the viewer and have a positive social impact. |

It's a heady and ambitious proposition, and one that DAVID looks forward to seeing soar into the future. It's always fascinating to see the new configurations made possible by a dynamic media landscape, and gratifying to talk to those who have the ambition to enjoy the scope of its boundless possibilities.

FILM KLAXON: BLACK SITE. |

|
Ever since John McClane fought Hans Gruber in 1988’s ‘Die Hard’, the tank top has become an action hero staple (see ‘Con Air’, ‘Logan’, ‘Tomb Raider’, and countless others). |
